Welcome Collin Williams of Davies to Cobber Track & Field! 🦅➡️🌽

Collin is interested in Multi events, as he has hurdled, sprinted, thrown javelin, and jumped throughout high school. Collin finished 10th in the 110m hurdles with a PR of 15.6 and 12th in the Triple Jump at the 2025 Class A ND State Meet. Collin’s PR Triple Jump is 42’ 8” 🔥

Hear from Collin: “I chose Concordia because it gave me the opportunity to continue running track as well as being close to home and being a strong academic fit.

I look forward to continuing to compete in track and field, being part of a great team environment, as well as being able to learn from some great coaches.

My likely major is physics. I got into it because I come from many generations of engineers and they are closely related.”

Welcome Nathan Bitz of Long Prairie, MN to Cobber Track & Field!!

Nathan had a tremendous spring, earning PRs in the 100m, 200m, 300m hurdles, and pole vault! He placed 3rd (his highest individual State Meet performance) in the 300m hurdles at the MN Class A State Meet with a 39.23, was 9th in the 200m and 20th in the 100m.

“I chose Concordia because I love the band program, and I fell in love with the campus/track facilities on my tour. I’m looking forward to being amidst other talented musicians and athletes. I’m excited to be able to train year-round with the coaches, and see what I can do with proper training.

I am getting a Business degree because of an interest in running my own business someday; a tree service is my plan right now. I fell in love with this one random day while running a chainsaw.”

Welcome Hunter Swanson of Davies to Cobber Track & Field!!

Hunter joins Concordia with a PR of 51.17, which earned him his highest individual finish of 17th at the ND Class A State Meet. He also helped his team’s 4x4 place 11th, and was part of the State Championship 🏆 4x4 team in 2025.

“I chose Concordia because it offers my degree [in accounting] and to extend my Track and Field career. I’m look forward to seeing how low I can get my times. I’ll be majoring in Accounting just like my mother.”

Welcome Owen Anderson of Wadena to Cobber Distance!! 🐺➡️🌽

This fall Owen played a critical role in the Wadena boys team making history by qualifying for the State Meet as a team!

This fall he was 13th at the Section 6A XC Championships with a PR of 17:07, and this track season he dropped almost 30 seconds off his 3200m for a PR of 10:26. He also ran a PR of 5:04 for 1600m and helped his team’s 4x800 relay place 3rd at the Section 6A Track & Field Championships.

“I chose Concordia because the campus is nice, the people have been friendly and the food is good. It was easy seeing myself attending college and continuing to run at Concordia. I am excited to keep running and meet other people who also like running!”

Owen plans on pursuing a degree in sports management.

Welcome Mason Danielson of Minnewaska to Cobber Track & Field!!

Mason jumped a huge PR in the Pole Vault this season, improving from 11’2” to 12’! Mason has also jumped 5’8” in the high jump, and he also hurdles and triple jumps!

Hear from Mason: “I’ve heard many great things about Concordia from some of my friends and family, and after my visit to the college I felt like that this was the right decision. Everyone one was super nice and helpful, and all the facilities were great. I am excited about doing track and field in college, and getting to meet new people. The Major I’m going for is Mechanical Engineering. I got interested in this major after realizing how much I enjoyed math class.”

Welcome SCARLETT HAUGE of Rocori to Cobber Distance! 👏

This track season Scarlett dropped almost 3 seconds off her 400m to run her PR of 1:05.07 at sections! Scarlett has great range as she has also run 2:31 for 800 and 5:47 for the 1600, as well as 20:25 for 5k XC.

“I chose Concordia because I come from a long line of cobbers so it feels like home. I’m most excited to meet new people and experience running as a college student.”

Scarlett will major in Business, sing in the Concordia choir, and will run both XC and Track & Field!
