Great day today with our annual middle school field hockey tournament! we had 33 teams that loved playing in the rain and at our field!
Anacapa, Mesa Verde, GALS LA, Campus Canyon, Rio Vista, Los Cerritos, Monte Vista, and Chaparral schools all had teams enjoy the day!
Thanks to our Field Hockey Federation Board anew volunteers who helped put this together and the coaches and kids who participated.
We hope to see you all back at the field soon!

It’s (always) hockey playing weather here in Southern California! 🏑
Lots of USA 🇺🇸 Men’s Junior, Senior, and Masters players came out to the turf yesterday for some scrimmages and shootouts.
Stay tuned in the coming days to see who’s able to slot the ball past the keeper in 8 seconds 👀

Last weekend, the Harris Family Stadium hosted VCRD's annual Christmas Classic tournament, hosting teams from all over California and Mexico!
We loved to see all the young FHF players that participated in this competition, and look forward to hosting more teams to play hockey in Moorpark in 2023!

🚨It’s almost time for the annual Christmas Classic tournament in Moorpark! 🏑
Many FHF youth boys and girls players will be competing this weekend against teams from all over California and Mexico, so be sure to come down and support!
Oh, and there may be another special exhibition game with VCRD men’s alumni on Sunday 👀

FHF UMPIRE & MANAGERS MEETING
When: Saturday August 20, 2022
Time: 3:00 pm
Location: FLR-1 (These are the new trailer class rooms located right next to the Field) - the room will have a. sign FLR-1 on the door .
Agenda: Rules applicable to the FHF Fall season based on FIH Rules briefing for Outdoor games with a few examples from indoor games.
Surprise: Pizza will be served for everyone in attendance. Please let us know you are coming so that we can get enough pizza for everyone :)!!
All umpires planning to be a part of FHF events are highly encouraged to please make every effort to be there. If you are an umpire and can not attend please email [email protected] of your ability not to attend.
It is recommended that all Managers also attend this clinic. Anyone else (coaches, players, parents) interested in understanding the new rules for the Fall Season is also highly encouraged to attend.
We need more umpires and there are a lot of opportunities outside of FHF from an Umpires Perspective.
A second Umpiore session will also be offered on Sunday August 21 during Practice matches for practice and discussion

TODAY AT 5:25 our local VCRD U21 Men's team is facing off against a Field Hockey Federation select Men's team to prepare for their test matches in Mexico later this month.
