Whether you’re a packer at Hawks Rest or Thunder Mountain, you’re facing an all day ride into camp. Many of the Hawks Rest packers have back to back rides — riding to the trailhead one day and back into camp the next.
A big portion of the ride, the packers are turning around looking at the string and making sure they aren’t dragging them and that the loads are riding well.
In the past, some packers have listened to podcasts or music through little portable speakers or on their phones playing out loud. Since Meta glasses have been invented that has been a hot commodity around here.
