For Arlen and Mackie Giosi, this place has been home for most of their lives.

I'm creating a Memory Collection for them—something they can keep forever—and I would love your help.

CFM has taught me that strength is so much more than what happens on a barbell.

Strength is showing up when life is hard. It is starting again after failure. It is allowing people to carry you when you cannot carry yourself. It is learning that a gym can become a community—and that a community can become family.

CFM has taught me resilience, friendship, loyalty, faith, and how to keep moving forward even when life looks nothing like I planned.

I will always be grateful for what this place has taught me and for every person who helped make it what it became.

For the last time, we asked our longtime designer and friend, Colby Love of Box 13, to create something special.

He didn't disappoint.

Rather than designing something completely new, Colby created a tribute to the entire history of CrossFit Morgantown. Hidden throughout the artwork are pieces from many of your favorite shirts over the past 14 years. As you look closer, you'll recognize the Phoenix, the Dove, Bear and Wolf, the Endurance ship, the Strength & Honor memorial barbell, West Virginia mountains, the American flag, the original CFM logo, and countless other details that tell the story of our community.

Every symbol has meaning.

Every detail tells part of our story.

This isn't just another gym shirt.

It's a piece of CrossFit Morgantown history.

There are moments in life when you know a chapter is ending—not because you stopped loving it, but because you know it's time to faithfully hand it to someone else.

Today is one of those days.

After much prayer and planning, I want to share that CrossFit Morgantown has been sold.

Beginning August 1, Shawnee Weber will officially become the new owner and begin an exciting new chapter under a new name and in a new home.

This gym has never simply been a business to me.

It was Jeff's dream.

Together, we poured our hearts into building something that was never just about workouts. We wanted to create a place where people felt seen, challenged, encouraged, and loved. A place where strangers became friends and friends became family.

Then life changed.

COVID challenged every small business. Not long after, Jeff unexpectedly passed away, and overnight I found myself carrying a business that I had never imagined leading alone.

Some of those days were so hard.

But you carried me.

You showed up.

You kept believing in this place.

You loved my boys when they needed it most. You stood beside me at Jeff's memorial service. So many of you celebrated with us at our wedding years ago. You hosted my baby shower. You celebrated birthdays, mourned losses, prayed through impossible seasons, and became part of our family's story.

Somewhere along the way, CrossFit Morgantown stopped being just a gym.

It became home.

These last five years have been some of the hardest—and most meaningful—of my life. Together, we honored Jeff's legacy. Together, we proved that this community was always bigger than one person.

And because I love this community so much, choosing who would lead it next was one of the biggest decisions I've ever made.

I have complete confidence in Shawnee.

She has earned my trust serving this community with faith, integrity, compassion, and excellence. I know she will pour her whole heart into what comes next, and I cannot wait to watch her build something beautiful of her own.

Passing the torch is bittersweet.

There will never be another CrossFit Morgantown.

But what made this place special was never the building, the equipment, the phoenix, or the name.

It was always the people.

That doesn't end here.

As for me, while this chapter is closing, another is just beginning. God has been preparing my heart for what's next, and in the coming weeks I'll finally be able to share more about that journey. I hope you'll continue walking it with me.

To the founding owners, every member who has ever walked through our doors, and each person who played a role in CFM...

Thank you for helping me carry it.

And thank you for giving me the privilege of being part of your lives.

This weeks hero WOD looks a little different. It is a new one, posted by . I saw the post and the story deeply touched me. While Devyn Gale served and lived in another country, I think it is a great reminder that honor and sacrifice is not limited to those from the U.S. but people of all nationalities. Here is her story from We Go Home's instagram account:

Devyn Gale was only 19 years old when she gave her life in the line of duty while serving with the British Columbia Wildfire Service.

She was studying to become a nurse. She carried textbooks in her backpack and trained on the hills near her home to prepare herself for the demands of protecting others. On July 13, 2023, while helping cut a fire perimeter near Revelstoke, British Columbia, she was struck by a falling tree and killed while responding to a wildfire.
Her age did not define her.
Her character did.
The numbers in today’s workout honor her life, her service, and the quiet determination she carried every day.
Today is not about setting a PR.
It’s not about posting a score.
It’s about remembering a young woman who chose service over comfort and courage over convenience.
