Played 2006-2009: Abby came into the program as a middle, transitioned to outside hitter, and ended her career as a right side hitter.
The DU preseason 2009 tournament sticks out in Abbyโs mind as one of her favorite court memories. They had a new combination of players together and did really well. It was great to have that momentum going into her senior season!
Also, the sisterhood Abby gained through WV volleyball is something that she cherishes and it has only continued to evolve after graduating. Life long friends made, who Abby loves dearly, talks to daily, and celebrates all of lifeโs milestones with. She's very grateful.
Morgantown on a football game day is a whole experience. The energy of the stadium and school spirit is unlike anything else Abby has experienced. So much fun to be a part of and still proud of!
Abby and her family live in Northern California and will be relocating to Idaho, Boise area, next month. She is a stay at home mom of two little ladies (5yo and 2.5yo). They stay busy in the outdoors and traveling as a family!

The weekends traveling to away games! Her and the team had so much fun wherever they went and got to see such cool places. Specifically, when the team travelled to New York City, Chicago, and Washington DC. Lauren grew up in California, so it was cool sightseeing through the big cities in matching sweatsuits with the team!
Laurenโs favorite part of Morgantown was the loyalty that everyone had for WVU. Living in a place like Morgantown can only be understood by those who have lived in a college town, everyone loves the Mountaineers! Lauren and her family live far from Morgantown town now, but they still feel so much pride whenever they see the flying WV out in California.
Lauren lives in Southern California with her husband, Brandon, who is a WVU wrestling alumni, and their two kids Claire and Ryan. Lauren works as a financial controller in the construction industry. Her and her family spend their free time shuttling their kids to their activities and sporting events!

Claiming the #1 spot for Individual Career Leader in digs her senior year at the Fullerton Classic Tournament. This was an extra special day as Bonnieโs parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins were able to be present to watch her hit the record. Shout out to Coach Jill Kramer, who called a timeout immediately after Bonnieโs dig that claimed the record so she could celebrate with her teammates in real time during the game!
Stewart Hall, Coopers Rock, and the shared experience of WVU students, alumni, and WV residents at all of the sporting matches. The support the entire state gives WVU athletics is truly beyond measureโฆ Shouting Country Roads arm-in-arm with your neighbor after every game will always be a core memory!
Bonnie resides in Bend, OR with her husband, Mike, and their two children, Francesca (2 years old) and Michael III (1.5 months old). She is the Director of Employee Resources for the nonprofit organization, the Foundation for Affordable Housing.

Played 2008-2011, Was a Middle Blocker
On-court: Beating Pitt her senior year! Abby and the team took it to 5 sets and won the fifth 15-12. She somehow pulled off the final kill too, which made it that much sweeter for her!
Off-court: After losing her mom to a long battle with breast cancer near the end of her junior year, she remembers looking up at the door at the beginning of her celebration of life (in Denver, CO) and seeing her coach, Jill, standing there. Abby broke down and cried. It showed just how much she cared about her players - she flew across the country during peak recruiting season. Abby had no idea she would be there. (And a side note - shout out to the best strength and conditioning coach, Corey Twine, aka )
WVU varsity club tailgate tent before football games (shout out to Dale Wolfley!! ); the Presidentโs House Overlook (her husband proposed to her there!); and the best restaurant is Chaang Thai on High Street!
After living and working in Morgantown for another 4 years after graduating, Abby got married to another Mountaineer, Zacary Tardiff, in Morgantown and then moved (back home) to Centennial, CO 8 years ago! Together they have two amazing kids, a 5-year-old daughter, Zane, and an almost 3-year-old son, Enzo. Abby is a working mama and the Community Bank President at ANB Bank in Castle Rock.
๐ฃ๏ธ ๐๐๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐- When Abby played volleyball, there were three Abbys on the team for a couple years, and four Abbys if you include the year before she arrived. So, they all went by their last namesโฆ Abby was just called โMonsonโ while playing!

Lizโs favorite WVU Volleyball memory was their inaugural Big 12 match against Texas at home (Aug. 29, 2012). It was the very first WVU sporting event as a member of the Big 12 and it brought with it a record-setting crowd for a volleyball game at the Coliseum. Despite it being a loss, it was cool for Liz to know her team and herself were part of WVU history in every moment that day.
Lizโs favorite part of Morgantown is the people! All the people of West Virginia really. Theyโre who won her over when she first visited and says they make it feel like home to her family to this day.
Currently, Liz is coming up on 10 years married to her awesome husband, who is also a WVU grad, and decorated Air Force Combat Search and Rescue helicopter pilot. They have moved half a dozen times, but currently reside in Dothan, Alabama with their two boys, Royce and Calum. She coachโs club volleyball at Deep South Volleyball Club, high school volleyball at Providence Christian School, is also an Orangetheory Fitness coach, and still plays indoor volleyball for fun!
