What an absolutely incredible way to close out the 2026 season for the Covered Bridge RiverJaxx 10U and Coach Crane!

The boys went an outstanding 4-0 this weekend and finished the Country Roads Season Closer the best way possible—bringing home the Championship! 🏆

What an unforgettable ending… but even more importantly, what an incredible beginning.

This team has proven that success isn’t measured only by trophies or wins. It’s measured by heart, determination, teamwork, and the willingness to give everything you have for the player standing beside you. Every single one of these boys gave 100% for their teammates, and it showed every time they stepped onto the field.

A huge thank you to the extra players who stepped in to help us throughout the weekend. Your efforts and contributions were a big part of this championship run, and we appreciate each of you.

Championship Sunday Highlights

⚾ Semifinal Victory
The RiverJaxx battled through a thrilling 9-8 victory over the Morgantown Redbirds 9U to punch their ticket to the championship game. The offense came alive with timely hitting, clutch RBIs, and outstanding teamwork, while the pitching staff stepped up when it mattered most to secure the win.

🏆 Championship Game
The RiverJaxx carried that momentum into the title game, defeating the Devils 10U, 9-4, to claim the championship! An explosive start at the plate, aggressive baserunning, strong defense, and another outstanding team effort sealed an incredible finish to an unforgettable weekend.

To Coach Crane, Coach Kenny, Coach Frankie, and Coach Saige and Game Changer Andy—thank you for the countless hours, the encouragement, the leadership, and for believing in these boys every single day. We are truly blessed with an amazing coaching staff that teaches so much more than baseball.

One thing Coach Crane said after the game couldn’t have been more true:

“It’s all about effort and attitude. If you have those two things, you’ll go far.”

That message defines this team.

This season was never just about winning baseball games.

It was about building character.
It was about becoming better teammates.
It was about believing in one another.
It was about playing with heart.

And that’s exactly what these boys did.

To our RiverJaxx families, friends, and incredible community—thank you for cheering, traveling, volunteering, supporting, and believing in these boys all season long. None of this happens without you.

⚾️ WHAT. A. DAY. ⚾️

These boys proved today that baseball is never over until the final out.

Game 1: Down 4-0 early against the Mon River Mudcats, our River Jaxx never quit. They battled all the way back, tied the game in the bottom of the 4th, took the lead late, and held on for an unbelievable 5-4 victory!

Game 2: Facing the St. Clairsville Devils, we found ourselves trailing 7-4 late in the game.
Paxton homered to center field scoring 3 runs, when we needed it the most. At the top of the 4th Once again, these boys refused to give up. They rallied together, and Sailor McCall delivered the game-winning RBI hit that sealed an incredible 8-7 comeback win!

This wasn’t about one player—it was about every single boy giving everything they had. Clutch hitting, great defense, smart baseball, and teammates picking each other up every inning. That kind of heart can’t be taught.

A few outstanding performances:
🔥 Paxton Painter crushed a huge 3-run home run that changed the momentum.
⚾️ Sailor McCall came through with the game-winning RBI hit that sealed the victory.
🧤 Kingston Hughes was outstanding on the mound, shutting down the Devils when we needed him most.
🔥 River Cline gave us an incredible effort on the mound all weekend, helping carry us through both hard-fought games.

These two wins were the definition of team baseball. Every player contributed, every family cheered them on, and every coach believed in these boys from the first pitch to the last out.

2-0 on the weekend. Championship Sunday awaits.

This weekend marks the final tournament for the Covered Bridge River Jaxx 10U. What a journey it has been.

These boys came together as teammates, but they’re leaving as brothers. They’ve grown not only as baseball players, but as young men—learning what it means to work hard, support one another, overcome challenges, and celebrate every victory together.

No matter what happens on the scoreboard this weekend, this team has already won. The memories, friendships, laughs, road trips, and unforgettable moments will last far beyond the final out.

A huge thank you to our incredible coaches for investing your time, patience, and hearts into these boys. Thank you to every parent, grandparent, family member, and fan who cheered them on through every practice, game, and tournament. It truly takes a village.

Let’s finish this season the only way we know how—with heart, hustle, and pride.
