18U Morris Rowdie Katz 2021-2022

The rowdie Katz finished their season today 11-9. Started off today with an 8-4 win. Doss started on the mound for us picking up the win. Remely closed the game out for us. Leading offensively was Remely with three hits and three RBI’s. Klicker, Schofield (1 rbi), and Noon added two hits while Stacy, Hughes (2 rbis), Hougas (2rbis), Doss, and Borgstrom all added one. Shannon added a walk.

The second game was a heartbreaking 7-6 loss. Remely started on the mound with Noon finishing it up. Leading offensively with two hits was Stacy, Schofield (1 rbi), Shannon (1 Rbi). Klicker (2 rbis), Remely, Hughes, Hougas, Doss, and Mason all added one hit.

For the past 8 years I’ve had the best seat in the house to watch these girls grow and compete and I wouldn’t want to do it with anybody else. Thank you to the coaches throughout the years… Jeff Beck Lexi Stacy-Vertrees Tracy Hughes Michael Doss Scott Francis Mark Johnson ( Lori DeGolyer Johnson) Greg Lines. Thank you to the parents for allowing your player to play with us and for dedicating your time and money for your girls to experience the greatest game on earth. To the players….some I’ve had you for multiple years and some just this year, but I feel that I’ve known you for forever. Your talent, your goofiness, and your love of the game and for each other has made this journey worth every moment of it. Thank you for giving me your time and dedication. You are all moving onto bigger things and I know you will continue to grow and succeed. And don’t forget…I’ll be watching and cheering you on each step of the way. ❤️

Katz went 1-1 on the day. The first game Noon started in the mound striking out 2. Remley finished the game striking out 2. Leading offensively was Hughes with 2 hits and 2 RBI’s . Stacy, Shannon, Jepson, Hougas, Noon, Doss, and Mazon all had one hit. Hougas and Noon each had an rbi as well. Katz won 6-3

Second game Mazon started on the mound striking out 2. Remley finished the game striking out 4 and giving up 0 runs. Leading offensively was stacy two hits and two RBI’s and Klicker with two hits. Schofield and Borgstrom each had a hit and rbi. Shannon, Lawton, and Hougas all added a hit as well. Hughes and Noon added a walk each. Lost 5-4.

We had to come from behind in both games and gave a valiant effort to try and win both games but came up short on the second. Tomorrow we will get the bats going and string some hits together!!! Let’s go Katz!

Even the umps had a great time with these champs this weekend! Even though Steve couldn’t hear the music..he still had fun with you girls!

CHAMPIONS!!!!! Second game of the day went Into an extra inning with the Katz coming out on top 10-8 knocking out the number one seed. Remley started on the mound for us with Noon finishing the game. Stacy, Hughes, Shannon, Lawton( in the park home run!) Hougas led the offense with two hits each while Klicker, Schofield, Remley and Jepson each added one.

Third game of the day was for the championship. Remley started on the mound with Noon closing the game. Together striking out six and only allowing 2 runs. Stacy, Schofield, Hughes, Jepson, and Noon each contributed two hits, Klicker , Remley, Shannon, and Hougas each added one. Stacy, Schofield, Jepson, Hougas, Doss, and Borgstrom all scored the runs. Together this was a great team win and these girls have worked so hard all season and deserved every bit of this. I am beyond proud!!!! Thank you Coach Jeff and Coach Lexi for all that you do. You are amazing group of individuals to work with. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents for your support today and every day! Great Job Katz!!! PS….Jeremy and I will have to match for the rest of the season I guess!

Katz came out with a vengeance this morning and won 10-1. Noon started on the mound striking out three, only gave up one run and two hits. Remley finished on the mound striking out one and only gave up one hit. Hughes, Jepson, Borgstrom (in the park homerun) led the offense with two hits while Remley, Shannon, Lawton, Noon, and Doss (triple) each had one.

Second game didn’t go as planned. Remley started on the mound giving up zero earned runs and three hits. Doss finished on the mound and only gave up one hit in our 6-3 loss. Stacy led the offense with two hits, Klicker, Remley, Hughes, Jepson, and Schofield all added one.

Third game of the day was an 11-0 win for the Katz. Noon started on the mound striking out 5 while Doss finished for us striking out two. Hughes led the offense with three hits, Stacy, Schofield, Lawton, and Hougas added two each, and Jepson and Doss added one. The Katz were errorless in the field as well.

Rowdie Katz defeat Yorkville Foxes 2-1. Noon on the mound for the win striking out 2. Lawton led the offense with two hits while Stacy, Hughes, Jepson, and Noon all added one. The team played a strong defense with Stacy getting to double plays. Great job girls! Next game at 3:55!

Game day!!!

A very big shoutout to Julia Borgstrom! Julia is newer to the game especially to the 18u level. She hadn’t played in a while and joined the high school JV team. She enjoyed it and contacted me about playing this summer to get some more experience. I told her I wouldn’t necessarily be able to get her in defensively but would let her hit at the tournaments. She took on that challenge and I am so appreciative of it! She was a huge help this weekend when people went down. She had two putouts and one assist in the field. She had two big hits, scored three times, walked three times, and reached on error in a key moment that scored two runs for us in a game where we were down by three with two outs and time had expired. Julia has never played a game at the 18u level….batted in all 7 games this weekend and has an on base percentage of .417. I couldn’t ask any more from her! Great job stepping up to play the game. You are extremely coachable and I see great things in your future!

Such a great experience. Our first time competing in a PGF tournament and ended in the top four. We went with two pitchers that just gave us everything they had and did an awesome job. Our team is beaten and bruised and worn out and fought hard till the very end. Noon started on the mound and Remley finished the game for us. Stacy, Remley, and Hughes put together hits for us allowing Stacy to score. Hughes with the RBI. We went 4-3 on the weekend against great competition. We suffered two collisions, a spiked shin, sore arms and knees, and a jammed thumb. And possibly full on exhaustion. But the Katz never quit. That’s all we can ask for as coaches. I am beyond proud of our girls, coaches, and katz families. Thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend a success. We couldn’t do it without you. To Jeff Beck and Kim Nighsonger Beck giving up your weekend to come and support and help the girls is truly appreciated! Your love and support for these girls makes a huge difference in all of us! These girls pulled out a win again! We beat Central Wisconsin Edge 3-2. We had two outs, runner at third and Kayla Jepson swoops in to make a diving catch in right field to save the game in typical Kayla Jepson fashion! Noon started on the mound and Remley finished the game for us. Shannon led the offense with two hits. Stacy, Remley, Klicker, Hughes, Jepson, and Noon each added one. Remley, Jepson, Noon all had RBI’s. Klicker, Hughes, and Shannon all crossed the plate. These girls are on fire!
