What a day at Twin Oaks Dog Club!
Holding an IGP trial on Labor Day weekend in Florida may have been a little ambitious, but the IGP gods shined upon us today and we pulled off a beautifully successful event! By keeping our entries limited to 4 BHs, 1 IGP1, 1 IGP2 and 2 IGP3s, we were able to run a tight schedule, keep everyone as safe as possible from the Florida heat, and still have a fantastic day of dog sport.
Huge congratulations to all of our participants! One of my favorite things about these events is the camaraderie that comes with them. The encouragement, sportsmanship, and willingness to jump in and help wherever needed is what makes this sport and our dog community so special.
A very big thank you to our judge, Pat Keuhn, for taking the time to travel to our club and spend the day with us. We truly appreciated your fair critiques, encouragement, knowledge, and the time you took with each handler. It was an absolute pleasure having you at Twin Oaks!
Thank you to Craig Hillyard for some outstanding helper work today. What you continue to put into this sport is truly remarkable, and we are incredibly fortunate to have you supporting events like ours.
A special thank you to Lora Sims for stepping in to be my right hand and helping keep everything moving, and to WTF Training Club for the continued friendship and club support. Special shout out to Krystina BrĂĽser and Jill Doherty for their outstanding achievements today!!
And of course, thank you to our own Twin Oaks members, Paul Oeser & Stella for achieving their IGP1 🎉 and Paul Shamp & Bella for their BH 🎉. You both have put in the time, did the work and today achieved the results. Bravo!
Not to mention a big congrats to our fearless leader Raul Hernandez with Garant Team Vom Holtkamper Hof and their IGP2. Special thanks to Carlene Chalkley for your trust, support and giving us the opportunity to work this amazing dog. On to SIEGER!!! đź’Ş
It takes a village to pull off a trial, especially in Florida in September, and today we had a pretty darn good village!
Congratulations again to everyone who stepped onto the field today, and thank you to everyone who helped make it such a successful event. We are already looking forward to the next one!
