Happy Labor Day from Pleasant Acres Stallions!

Labor Day is a time to recognize the people whose hard work, dedication and commitment keep things moving every single day.

At Pleasant Acres Stallions, that means the farm staff who care for our horses day in and day out, the office staff who keep everything organized and running behind the scenes, and the owners whose dedication and vision continue to move the farm forward.

We also celebrate the hardworking breeders who are at the heart of our industry. Their commitment, long hours, investment and passion for the Thoroughbred help keep our industry strong and moving forward.

Working with horses is a seven-day-a-week commitment. The horses don’t know it’s a holiday, and their care never takes a day off. We are incredibly grateful for the people who bring their experience, passion and hard work to Pleasant Acres Stallions every day of the year, and for the breeders and horsemen and women who share that same dedication throughout our industry.

Today, we celebrate all of you.

BY BROCK SHERIDAN: This handsome c**t at Pleasant Acres Farm is by Verifying, who stands at Pleasant Acres Stallions, out of the unraced Uncaptured mare Foolhearted Woman. Bred in Florida by John Sherling of Greenville, Alabama, the c**t was foaled on April 25.

This is the fifth foal out of Florida-bred Foolhearted Woman, who has two stakes winners from three starters. She produced with Pleasant Acres Stallions’ Neolithic, multiple graded stakes-placed, stakes-winner Dancing N Dixie, the Florida-bred Champion Turf Female of 2024 and winner of that year’s Listed Tepin Stakes at Churchill Downs; and stakes-winner R Morning Brew, by Curlin’s Honor. R Morning Brew took the 2024 Desert Vixen division of the FTBOA Florida Sire Stakes.

Second dam, Florida-bred winner Uno’s Wild Angel, by Macho Uno, is a half-sister to Grade 3-placed, stakes-winning Florida-bred Angelofdistinction and Vegas, producer of stakes-winning Florida-bred Tank.

Meet a Class of 2026 Superstar-In-The-Making! This is the half brother to stakes stars DANCING N DIXIE (by Neolithic) and R MORNING BREW (by Curlin's Honor). Pleasant Acres Stallions proudly introduces this stunning 2026 c**t by VERIFYING, out of Foolhearted Woman, and owned by John Sherling.

Foolhearted Woman is a classy broodmare who produces winners! Her daughter, DANCING N DIXIE, has nearly $425,000 in earnings and was the winner of the Our Dear Peggy Stakes and Tepin Stakes. She placed in the G3 Florida Oaks, G2 Appalachian Stakes, G2 Edgewood Stakes, G2 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Oaks Invitational Stakes, Powder Break Stakes, and the G3 Maple Leaf Stakes. Whew... that was a lot to type in! DANCING N DIXIE was named the 2024 Florida-bred Champion Female Turf Horse by the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders' and Owners' Association (FTBOA).

Then there is R MORNING BREW who broke her maiden in her first start, and went on to win the FTBOA Florida Sire Desert Vixen Stakes in her second start. She also placed in the FTBOA Florida Sire Susan's Girl Stakes and the Any Limit Stakes.
