My apologies to everyone that did barre yesterday because my core is 💀💀💀 and it takes a lot to get mine sore. I also feel like I’ll be sending more apologies after this mornings workout too🫣

Today’s 9/11 Memorial Workout was tough and I pushed hard.(we all did)

Not because I was going out to eat later.
Not because I hate my body or needed to punish it.
Not because I was trying to be better than anyone else in the room.

I pushed through for something bigger than me.

I did it to honor the courage, sacrifice, and strength of those who stepped up to save lives on September 11—and those who lost their own.

Every rep had a purpose. We remember. 🇺🇸

I still remember that day-where I was, how scary everything felt. It’s hard to even explain unless you actually experienced it. Even after 25 years it’s still heartbreaking.

Monday we talked about box breathing as a simple way to support your nervous system.

Today, let’s add another easy one: morning light. If you can’t do mornings try the sunset🌅

Before your day gets loud, try stepping outside for a few minutes. No workout required. No perfect morning routine. Just light in your eyes, feet on the ground, and a minute to let your body realize, “OK, we’re awake now.”

Your circadian rhythm is basically your body’s internal clock. It helps regulate things like sleep, energy, and alertness, and light is one of the biggest signals it pays attention to.

So here’s your Wednesday assignment:

Before you scroll too far, step outside for 5 minutes.

Take a few slow breaths.

Let your body catch up before your brain starts sprinting.

Because supporting your health isn’t always adding more.

Sometimes it’s giving your body the right signal at the right time.

Tomorrow’s lineup is giving strong, steady, slightly spicy.

Start with 4:30 PM Barre to shake out the day, then stay for 5:30 PM Strength Training and remind yourself you’re a lot stronger than your Tuesday brain thinks you are.

Come tired. Come with the “I almost talked myself out of this” energy.
We’ll take it from there.

Save your spot for tomorrow. Your future self will be annoyingly proud.

One thing I’m learning more and more through naturopathy is this:

Your nervous system needs support, not another reason to feel like you’re failing.

Stress, poor sleep, anxiety, overstimulation, busy schedules, caffeine-fueled mornings… it all adds up. And while there are a lot of tools that can help support the nervous system, breathing is one of the simplest places to start.

There are several breathing techniques that can support different things, like calming the body before sleep, helping you slow down when stress spikes, or giving your brain a minute to catch up when everything feels like too much.

But if you’re new to breathwork, box breathing is one of the easiest ones to try first.

Here’s how:

Inhale for 4
Hold for 4
Exhale for 4
Hold for 4

Repeat for 3–5 rounds.

That’s it. No perfect setup. No overthinking it.

Try it this morning before the emails, the group texts, the caffeine, and the mental list of everything everyone needs from you.

Because supporting your health doesn’t always have to be complicated.

Sometimes it starts with learning how to pause.
