Vixens are back at it this weekend💪

Vixens went to Cleveland this weekend!
We showed up ready to compete.💪 our first pool play game was flat. Just struggled to string anything together!
We fell to a great team!
Our next pool play game - we took a hit straight in the mouth. Our Catcher Sting Rae went down at home plate. She fractured her right Tibia. It was a tough blow that set the tone for the rest of the game.

And then it was time for Bracket, this is the good part.
Before the game, our girls had a meeting and they set down and used their voices.
They dedicated this next game to Rae.
They each took on a role holding each other accountable. Telling one another I’ve got your back.
Addalie put the team on her back and almost pitched a perfect game. That helped carry us to the championship where she received All Tournament MVP and game MVP for bracket game 1!
Kyren hit a base clearing 3 run BOMB, that helped give Addalie some run reassurance in the top of the second!
We had girls find their voices on the corners and through some of the chants, I heard do it for Rae..

After the tournament the girls gathered their things and was ready to hit the road back to Knoxville to take their TEAMMATE who needed the reassurance the vixens has her back. The ring they won for her!

The wins are great yes!
But the bond and friendships we’re building here will carry these girls far in life!
As coaches we’re so proud of this group of girls on and off the field.
When you have something this special you protect it!

Because today we did it for each other, and we did it for Sting Rae 💪💜

Tomorrow The Vixens travel to Cleveland,TN for our first tournament of the Fall Season!

The girls are locked in and ready to compete with their teammates!
