Sunny Days Yoga Camp for Kids

Day 5 of Adventure Yoga Camp and our last day of the summer was all about facing our challenges! We hiked Elmore Mountain today! Then we had a nice restorative yoga practice followed by swimming! It has been another great season of Sunny Yoga Camp! I have so much gratitude for the families and kids, my assistants (Kim and Yvonne), and the Elmore State Park!

Day 4 of Adventure Yoga Camp was all about self care and compassion. With storms in the forecast, we started at the beach. After lunch campers planted marigolds seeds in the pots they painted yesterday. Then we had a yoga circle with a focus on self care with heart openers, balancing poses, inversions, strength building, and partner poses. Our afternoon concluded with self care at our "Spa Day". Campers made sugar scrub, had facials, relaxed with a cucumber eye meditation, and had a lavender and chamomile foot bath followed by soothing lotion.

Day 3 of Adventure Yoga Camp was hot hot hot! Our theme today was A Day in the Garden. We had a reflective yoga practice with gratitude as a focus. The campers made group human mandolas, and individual gratitude mandolas. They made bead sun catchers and painted flower pots,(tomorrow we will plant seeds), and then we cooled off in the lake.

Day 2 of Adventure Yoga Camp! Our theme was the Beach! We had a beachy yoga story, made beach in a bottle sensory jars, tie dyed shirts, made bracelets and spent the afternoon beating the heat in the lake!

We had an amazing first day of Adventure Yoga Camp! Our theme was camping. After our Yoga circle, the kids painted kindness rocks (which we spread around the campground), and wood medallions. In the afternoon we waited out a thunderstorm by journaling and playing a couple of yoga games, and we ended the day swimming at the beach!

The car is all packed and ready for our first Day of Adventure Yoga Camp tomorrow! We have 5 fun-filled days planned for our 7-12 year old campers this week!
