THIS WEEK HAS BEEN A BANGER! 🔥🎣

Back-to-back overnight charters with the Cope’s crew on Saturday and Fritz’s Custom Rods on Sunday… then today’s 12-hour rolled in and DID THE DAMN THING! 💪

🦖 JURASSIC PARK proved that maybe dinosaurs really DO still rule the earth 😂

The LING-POCALYPSE was in full effect — LIMITS OF LINGS for all our anglers, baby! 🐲🔥 Big fish, stuffed bags, and exactly the kind of Jurassic Park chaos we’ve come to love.

But apparently the bluefin heard there was a party going on too… 👀🐟

BLUEFIN. OUT OF MORRO BAY. 🤯

We went 2 FOR 3 on hookups over the weekend run, adding a whole different kind of excitement to an already ridiculous couple days on the water!

🔥 FRIDAY 8-HOUR CAME OUT SWINGING! 🔥

13 guys picked the RIGHT day to hit the water Friday, and Mother Nature rewarded them with beautiful weather and a RED HOT bite! 🎣🔥 It’s been feeling like summer out there, and our local grounds just keep paying out with some seriously epic fishing.

The rockfish weren’t just hungry… they were BIG. 😮‍💨 Bags were looking more like they came off a Jurassic Park run than a local 8-hour! 🦖🐟 And apparently the lings didn’t want to miss the party either because the boat absolutely SMOKED LIMITS OF LINGCOD too! 🤣🔥

Swimbaits were a BIG winner on this one. A few of them got absolutely CHEWED TO OBLIVION after getting hammered over and over by our toothy friends. 😂🦷

The best part? Even the local fishing is FIRE right now, while our Jurassic Park grounds just keep doing what Jurassic Park does… producing BIG fish. 💪🦖

🔥 HOW’S LOCAL FISHING BEEN? 🔥

Our 6 & 8 hour trips have been going HAM! 🐟💥

Lately we’ve been pulling limits so fast we’re finding ourselves looking around like… well, what do we do now? 😂

Who’s down for some halibut drifts?! 👀

Monday we limited out 34 anglers slicker than snot with a killer mixed bag of rockfish. Plenty of high biters, some reds, nearshore rock huggers, and a handful and a half of lings had everybody’s fish fry LOCKED DOWN. 🔥🎣

With limits handled, we went poking around the same area where we pulled a halibut last week…

…and got rewarded with a PROPER DOORMAT. 😂🚪🐟

⚠️ FRIENDLY REMINDER: CHECK YOUR DRAGS, GUYS! ⚠️

Buttoning those things down to yank rockfish away from the rocks works great…right up until a good-sized halibut decides to eat. 😬

We’ve had to pass a tissue or two lately to anglers who learned that lesson the hard way while watching their trophy-sized dinner swim back to the bottom. 😭😂

So apparently local trips are rockfish limits → lingcod → surprise halibut hunting now.

We’re not mad about it. 🤷‍♂️🔥

🔥 HOW’S LOCAL FISHING BEEN? 🔥

Pretty damn solid! 😂 The bite has been steady for the last couple weeks, and we’ve been putting together limits without much effort 🎣💪

And what happens when those limits come quickly?

We get to go looking for other cool stuff 👀🔥

Big fish, bonus species, something different to pull on — when the bags are handled early, we’ve got time to go exploring!

Overnights up our way are OVERNIGHTING in a BIG way! 🔥🔥🔥

Both of our overnight trips this week absolutely SMACKED.

First up, we had Chad and Hook Up Baits on the boat, and it was straight-up pandemonium 😂

Our private charter with Bob and his posse proved that the kids can hang with the big boys too! 💪🏼🎣

Ever watched a kid grind on a fish almost as big as they are?! COOL. STUFF. 😂 Watching these junior anglers get absolutely worked by Jurassic-sized fish—and WIN—never gets old!

Both trips actually had us safely releasing multiple LEGAL lings, because once everybody peeped the size of the fish we’ve been consistently producing, suddenly nobody wanted to settle. 😂

HOGS ONLY. 🐷🔥

Big fish, stuffed bags, tired arms, and the kind of fishing that makes an overnight worth losing sleep over.

September overnights are already SOLD OUT, but with fishing like this, we’re looking HARD at squeezing another one onto the schedule. 👀

🔥 JURASSIC PARK IS DOING JURASSIC PARK THINGS! 🔥🎣

Yesterday’s 12-hour was one heck of a way to kick off this week’s run! ☀️🌊 We had beautiful summer weather, calm seas, and an awesome group made up of a handful of OG Black Pearl fam along with plenty of new friends getting their first taste of what we do out here!

The bite stayed steady and the fish were there doing what they do in Jurassic Park — CHEWING. 🦖🎣 Everything coming over the rail was SIZE LARGE 💪🏼 and watching people experience this fishery for the first time never gets old. It’s a pretty great reminder of just how lucky we are to be planted right in the middle of these unique and incredibly robust fishing grounds.

Even the whales decided to show out for us! 🐋 With all the bait in the water, they were putting on a show of their own and making an already killer day that much better.
