We would like to congratulate Preston Walker, Jantzen Hilbun, and Connor Phillips on accomplishing a major milestone in their journey toward becoming PGA Professionals. All three successfully passed the PGA Playing Ability Test (PAT), the first step toward earning their PGA Certification.

They traveled to Alexandria, Louisiana, where they completed the 36-hole test at OakWing Golf Club. The PAT is no easy challenge, requiring players to complete 36 holes in a single day while meeting a demanding target score of 157 after two rounds.

We are incredibly proud of Preston, Jantzen, and Connor for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to growing the game of golf. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement—we look forward to watching your continued success!

Some great swings and impressive shots from our junior golfers this past Saturday! It’s always exciting to see the hard work from practice show up on the course. The growth, confidence, and effort these players continue to display each week is what it’s all about.

The 2026 Whispering Pines Junior Golf Program Summer Camp is officially in the books!

We had an incredible week filled with instruction, drills, on-course learning, team competitions, and a fantastic tournament to wrap everything up.

First, we would like to thank Whispering Pines for hosting us once again, along with our sponsors, coaches, parents, and volunteers who helped make this week possible. We truly could not do it without your support.

Throughout the week, our campers focused on four core value words:

• Monday – Respect
• Tuesday – Perseverance
• Wednesday – Attitude
• Thursday – Teamwork

Our junior golfers embraced these values every day. They showed respect for their coaches and fellow campers, persevered through the summer heat, maintained positive attitudes, and worked together as teammates throughout the week.

The team competition was one of the closest and most competitive races we have ever had. Congratulations to our Team Champions, The Ballers: Asher Broome, Rolin Rounsaville, Remy Hester, Emery Hester, Teddy Cockerham, and Will Battley.

Finishing in second place was the GB Golfers: Blakeleigh Jones, Kinsley Parker, October Wheat, Kinsley Harrison, Hunter Williams, and John Henry.

Friday’s tournament featured some of the best scores in summer camp history, and we could not be more proud of how much our golfers improved throughout the week.

Closest to the pin winners:
#3 - Buddy Cowart
#7 - Hayden Maples
#14 - Patterson Smith

Girls Division Champions (Even Par 36):
Maggie Barbour, Mali Avila, Ashlee Archer, Mary Davis, and Tenley Ingram

Girls Division Runner-Up (1 Over 37, won by scorecard playoff):
Annistyn Rice, Maggie McNease, Kinsley Harrison, and October Wheat

Boys Division Champions (3 Under Par 33):
Hayden Maples, Hunter Williams, John Henry, and Holden Stuckey

Boys Division Runner-Up (2 Under Par 34, won by scorecard playoff):
Benjamin Catchpole, Patterson Smith, and Xander Nelson

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s camp. We are extremely proud of all of our junior golfers and the progress they made throughout the week.

We look forward to seeing everyone again next summer for another great camp!

Congratulations to Coach JT Wilson on recording the second hole-in-one of his career!

JT made his ace on Hole #4 at The Park Golf Club. Playing 100 yards, he hit a 58° wedge that landed just past the hole before spinning back and finding the bottom of the cup.

Congratulations, Coach JT, on an incredible shot and a memory you’ll never forget!
