A Memorial Paddle for Bob: The Mobile-Tensaw Delta Paddle is next Sunday, April 13, at 2:00PM @ BuzBee's Landing on Hwy 225 in Spanish Fort. There is a $5 launch fee.
The weather is looking good with a high tide around 11:30 that morning, so if we can find Bob's "Seldom Seen Point" in the Basin then that will be the destination. We will all paddle to some of Bob's other favorite places like the Eagles Nest and Oak Tree. We will be leaving a bit of Bob where he was so content, happy and where he taught us all so much.
BYOBoat and bring the usual paddling and safety gear, snacks, water and any Bob stories you want to share as we paddle together at one of his favorite spots.

We are still putting together dates for his services. He has a large group of paddling friends scattered across the coast, so we are wanting to include everyone where we can. We are looking at doing a few services... one in FL on the Blackwater with that paddling club, one on the Delta, and one on the Escatawpa.
Waiting for warmer weather. Florida group has put out the date of April 27th. The Delta trip is also looking at mid April. Will be putting the Escatawpa service together and will update everyone as dates and plans become more concrete. Look foward to seeing everyone and celebrating Mr. Bobby.

We would like to update all of the paddling friends. Our good friend Bob Andrews has passed away.
He will be greatly missed by many, as he made an impact on and influenced many. He passed along a wealth of knowledge of the outdoors and helped create memorable experiences, over the many years he educated and guided us along our waterways. It was a blessing to paddle with Bob all these years and to know him as a friend. Because if you were seeing Bob, you were having a good day.
We look forward to celebrating Bob's life with everyone soon. We are in talks of putting together memorial paddles/services here locally, as well as in Florida. More details to come and we will be updating everyone when we can.

To our paddling friends, Bob Andrews is currently facing a medical challenge and is unable to operate his business at this time. We are sending him all our love and support for a swift recovery. We will keep you informed of any changes to his business operations as soon as possible, but for now Sunshine Canoes is temporarily closed. In the mean time, if you would like to send him a message please do so through Messenger. Bob's phone lines will not be answered during this time.
