Last year I started getting more into golf. This year I wanted to get more serious with it. I’ve played A LOT this summer. I have definitely gotten better but I have a long way to go. My goal by the end of the fall is to be able to shoot under 100. I’m getting close. Baby steps. Anyway, my new buddy Eddy (Eddy D. ) from Birch Hill Country Club in Moultonborough, NH reached out to me and invited me to play a round with him and try out their 3 way. How could I decline that? Golf at a gorgeous course by Lake Winnipesaukee and have a beef, I’ll do that 6 times a week and twice on Sundays.

Eddy bought this golf course 3 years ago. He put everything on the line for this and it’s starting to pay off. But he made sure it paid off. He spent tons of time & money making this place one of the top courses in New England. New greens, bunkers, drainage system, bridges, golf carts, club house. A lot of TLC went into this place. And being a Malden boy, he grew up off beefs so he wanted to make sure he had a quality beef and quality food in general at the club house. He thought of everything he can possibly do to make this place what it is. Very inspiring stuff. Eddy is a good dude. I’m looking forward to taking that peaceful, scenic 2 hour ride back up here and play around round with him. Hopefully I can break 100 then. I’m determined to be great. It is a super frustrating sport but god I love it.

Here’s what’s happening at Birch Hill this weekend:

🎶 Friday: Colin Hart is playing in the Overlook Tavern starting at 6 PM!

🍽️ Saturday: Matusek Table comes to Birch Hill! Cocktail hour begins at 4:30 PM. Please note that the Tavern will close at 3 PM.

🍺 Sunday: Enjoy $3 Michelob Ultra drafts all day starting at 1pm!
