πŸ‚ DOWNTOWN OKTOBERFEST ROAD CLOSURE πŸ‚

Downtown Main Street will be hosting their annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 3rd! πŸŽ‰

Main Street will be closed beginning around 10:00 AM to allow the festival to take place. It could close earlier if the town decides to do so.

πŸ₯‹ If your class is after 10:00 AM, please plan to take an alternate route to the dojo.

Depending on where you are coming from, one option is:
➑️ Take Ridge Road (Route 27) to Park Avenue
➑️ Turn right onto Lookout Avenue
➑️ Turn right onto Center Street
➑️ This will bring you to the dojo without needing to travel through Main Street.

Some families may also be able to use the back streets to get around Main Street and approach the dojo via Lookout Avenue and Center Street.

We want to make sure everyone is aware of the road closure so you can plan ahead and arrive at class on time.

Please allow yourself extra time for traveling the alternate route.

Thrilling Thursday Has Exciting News!

We are thrilled to announce that this incredible student has accepted our invitation to join the Black Belt Champions program!

By making the commitment to earn his Black Belt, he has shown that he embodies the true spirit of a martial artist.

Students are invited to join Black Belt Champions when they consistently demonstrate the qualities of a Black Belt. This includes consistent attendance, respectful behavior, impeccable dojo protocol, a positive attitude, excellent focus, being a fantastic training partner, and always training with great spirit and energy.

We are incredibly proud of this young man for showcasing these outstanding qualities, and we can’t wait to see how he will continue to grow through his martial arts journey. Keep up the amazing work!

In martial arts, stripe testing is a privilege that you earn by how you train every day. Knowing your techniques is important, but so are your effort, focus, and behavior. When an instructor gives you, or the entire class, feedback, listen to it and put it to use, because if you are not regularly demonstrating these qualities, you may lose the opportunity to stripe test until you show the necessary improvement. You don’t earn a stripe by being ready only on testing day, you earn it through the choices you make in every class.

Tristar Families, please note that the dojo will be closed for all regular classes on Wednesday, September 23rd and Thursday, September 24th.

These evenings will be dedicated to Promotion Ceremonies for students eligible to promote in September. We have a huge number of students currently working hard to meet the requirements for the September Promotion. We couldn’t be more excited to see their hard work pay off. πŸ‘Š

It’s inspiring to watch all our students each month grow, persevere, and work towards their next belt rank. We look forward to celebrating each and every one of those students promote this September!

Students in the Intermediate class and higher should bring all their sparring gear in order to participate in class. Any student missing any part of their sparring gear will not be permitted to take class.

Gentlemen MUST wear their supporter to EVERY class NOT just during sparring week.

Because of this cancellation:
