PSD Conference Day 4 at NSA Panama City, FL.
We had to adjust our program for today as the litter bands of the hurricane affected the training. Although, we adapted and overcome. We had lock out tag out class provided by the US Navy, Cameron did an equipment specialist class dealing with PSD gear and Joshua Gibbs did a wonderful job on a sonar and past callout class.

Day two and three of the Public Safety Dive Conference at NSA Panama City Consisted of classroom certifications on PADI PSD Explosive and IED Awareness and the New Mexico Tech Course on Response to Bombing Incidents. Also, certification for the PADI PSD Confidence Course was taking place. Today the students swap from pool to classroom or classroom to pool. Going to be another good training day

Public Safety Dive Conference is underway at NSA Panama City,FL. Thanks to the US Navy for allowing us to have it on the installation.
Dr. Jay Radtke, Chief Medical Examiner is giving instruction this morning. Have PSD from all over the country as well as from Canada at the conference. Going to be a good week.

Upcoming Training Event

Region VI will be organizing a public safety diving training event. The training will take place at the US Navy Dive and Salvage School in Panama City Beach
Dates Sept 9-13,2024

Some topics will include: explosive and IED recognition, explosive demonstration, medical issues, rigging, special event planning, tag out lock out and a lot more.
Bay County Bomb Squad and Dive Team are our host city.

We were very sad to hear this news! Saralynn was one in a million. We are so glad we were able to meet this special lady. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time. She will be missed by all but especially the dive community.

We are deeply saddened to share the heartbreaking news with our Easy Divers tribe that our beloved founder Saralynn Turner has passed away peacefully overnight. She was a trailblazer in this industry and she has left a lasting impression on all who knew her. We all want to celebrate her life, and we will let you know when arrangements are made.

All training and travel will continue as planned at this time. We appreciate your patience as we mourn this loss.
