I've been a hammocker for 3 years, beginning when I purchased my first generic hammock at a Bass Pro Shops for ~$20. It was a forest green nylon taffeta with nylon loops and heavy S-hooks on each end. Oh boy did that thing take a while to set up, and even longer to take down. I had to find two PERFECTLY-spaced trees to achieve even a decent hang. Since that first hammock, I've owned three. Why thr
ee? Because I ripped the first two! I soon realized that two things were desperately needed if I were to continue in my new-found hobby 1: I needed a better suspension system. and 2: I needed better materials/construction in my hammocks. With strong artist genes coursing through my DNA, I've never been able to deny my crafty side. The only logical solution I could see to my hammock problem was to research, and then create! After some time I landed upon HammockForums.com, a paradise of information for wanna-be and pro-hammockers alike. There I discovered Amsteel Whoopie slings, polyester tree straps, toggle-using Marlin-Spike Hitches, ripstop nylon, and sewing tips. Soon after, H'worth Hammock 001 was born. A year later, and not much has changed. The seams are a little straighter, the material is higher quality, and I've redesigned the suspension. My passion is the outdoors, my hobby is backpacking, and my niche is ultralight. My goal with HardLine Adventure Industries is to bring you ultra-light, ultra-strong, and ultra-easy outdoor gear, applicable to the seasoned outdoorsman and the collegiate youth, to the adventurous child and the tired parent, or anyone else who endeavors to experience the HangLife.
