I would love to offer up some prayer and encouragement as we walk into this Christmas season! I know we all have been experiencing a lot of just everything these past two years. We have so much hope, peace, and joy because of Jesus, but we are still experiencing the tension of the world right now. We’ve been plugging along, but I know so many of us feel a different kind of tired this year. We feel the need for deep rest. My prayer for you is that there is space over the next few weeks for you to have some deep rest, and space for whatever you need….to rest, to hear from God, to practice gratitude, to clearly see His goodness, to process grief, to reach out to friends, to experience peace & joy, to ask for help, to create new traditions, and to just experience Him. Whatever it may be for you in this season I pray that the space will be there for you. I know there is rest in all of those things! Let’s keep finding rest in Him and let’s keep holding on to the hope we know we have in Jesus as we walk through this season and into the New Year!
I plan on taking the next week or so to spend time with friends & family, and take some time for rest, and refreshment! That means the Good Morning Collective Instagram may be a little quiet for a bit, but I am so excited for what is ahead!! I’m looking forward to walking through the next year with you all!!
I am so grateful for all of you and I’m wishing you a safe, healthy and happy holiday season!!

Today I canceled my gym reservation and stayed home! I lit a candle and enjoyed some coffee, did some things I find life giving, and went for a walk!
I’ve been thinking a lot about how this holiday season feels different than last year to me. Some of that different is really GOOD! One thing I’m noticing is that I am requiring more rest and i've been finding a lot of joy in that rest.
I’ve heard a lot of people are feeling that way, and it’s OK if you are feeling that! It feels sort of like a protest to slow down in this season, but for me it has been necessary.
One way I have been doing that is just by creating new holiday rhythms and traditions. That advice actually came from my own counselor. Things don’t have to look the way they once did. You don’t have to set really high expectations or try to recreate moments from seasons ago that throw you into striving and feeling frantic. You can find joy in the seemingly mundane! Like if creating your own charcuterie board feels life giving DO IT!! If ordering pizza feels life giving DO IT! Find freedom in changing the traditions.
And there’s one thing for sure you can find joy knowing what the season truly means.
There’s a song that’s been on repeat for me, and it’s Joy of the Lord by Maverick City Music.
It says -
I'm pulling on joy from Heaven's reserve
He's stored up enough, for every winter I'm served
I'm seeing beyond my circumstance
This joy that I have is my inheritance joy
This is the joy of the Lord
The joy, the joy
The joy of the Lord is my strength, yes it is!
I've decided, I won't take it off
We won't take it off
There's a world
Who is looking for hope
We won't take it off
Oh, the joy of the Lord is my strength.
I’m just leaning into that so much. I don’t have to carry the weight of having it all together, or having a picture perfect holiday or even a picture perfect Tuesday morning.
It’s not joy for me to manufacture…the JOY is in Him.
So I just pray that you can find rest in Him today. That even if you feel the pressure to preform in this holiday season, that He will provide you with moments of true rest and joy. Let Him carry you.

I've heard from so many women that looking at other women's morning routines is overwhelming. It doesn't seem achievable for their schedule or season of life.
It's so important to remember that we are not all living in the exact same season. What works for one of us will not work for another!
Remembering that takes the pressure off and allows us to step into our day in a life giving way. It also allows us 8am gals to cheer on our 5am gals and visa versa!
You want your morning routine to be live giving, not something you resent!!
The Good Morning Club Email is coming out tonight! We dive into all things morning! Be sure to sign up!

Swipe -> to see my Halloween costume this year. It sums up why my mornings are so important to me, haha!
This week in the Good Morning Club email we are going to be talking about all things morning!
We will be talking about how your morning will not look exactly like mine. We will also talk about how my own morning looks different right now than it did a year ago.
How can we recognize what we need for the season we are in?

Each morning I like to find a moment to slow down.
Before I hit the gym.
Before I check my email.
Before I go on a run.
Before I clean up the house.
Before whatever the day head holds, I try to take a moment and enjoy a slow moment.
Usually it’s with a cup of coffee in a cozy spot!
Today along with that cup of coffee I listened to a guided bible meditation from the Abide App.
I was reminded of God’s promises and His power. I was reminded to keep dreaming and to stop holding back.
These moments in the morning are so sweet to me!
They set the temperature for the entire day. Not just for me, but for everyone I come in contact with really. When I start the day slowly it changes the way I notice the people around me. It takes me out of tunnel vision and allows me to be kinder and gentler with everyone I meet on my path. ❤️
How do you set the temperature for your day?

Do you want to know the truth?
I almost gave up on coaching. Yep, the weight of not being exactly sure how to help was heavy and I wasn’t sure what to do next.
Then I had some coaching from a friend that helped me move forward. I wrote down several months of content after that, but I didn’t do anything with it. I just let it sit. Then I started having lots of convos with people about rhythms and everything we were taking about was already planned out in the content I had been sitting on. God showed me that people do need to hear these things.
So here I am, being super honest with you and brining you what God has been laying on my heart.
I want you to know that there is freedom in knowing that you do not have to run at anyone else’s pace. I took a break, and God spoke to me through it. While I was taking a break, other coaches were charging forward. That is OK!
We are on a rollercoaster and I know I’ve felt a lot of highs and lows over the last couple of years, and they come quicker than in the past. I think of all of those highs and lows and I think about how everyone else is feeling them as well.
So while one of us might be in the space to run fast others of us may be in the space of deep rest.
There is freedom in knowing that, and we are going to talk about that more in the Good Morning Club Email! The link to sign up is in my bio. 🧡
Let’s run together in freedom.

Do you ever feel pressure, or put pressure on yourself to live up to or take on someone else’s rhythms?
I know I have felt that more than once in my life. Especially in these social media spaces. There are so many voices out there, like my own, sharing experiences and offering help. I know I’ve experienced times where I put pressure on myself to run at someone else’s pace, or thought maybe I’m doing it all wrong.
The good news is your rhythms don’t have to look like anyone else’s rhythms.
How can we combat that comparison and pressure?
We are going to dive deeper into that in next week’s Good Morning Club email!

Where do you find moments of peace & rest?
For me it’s meeting with God in the morning.
Whether it’s -
Meditation
Prayer
Worship
Quiet
Nature
Walking
Running
The gym
Or sipping my coffee.
It’s the space where I seek Him & meet Him.
And the beauty is I don’t have to have it all together and I don’t have to have a perfect plan or schedule.
I just show up & He always meets me there.

Hey friends! We are back from break!
I’ve had time to really press in and think about what we do in this space.
While I was away I felt God telling pulling me towards worship more and more. At first I thought maybe I was supposed to step away from this space completely and focus on leading worship, but then I realized that is exactly what we do in this space!
It’s more than creating a solid morning routine. It’s about starting each day in worship!
How can you wake up and make space to meet God in worship?
So how are we going to move forward in this space?
Things are going to probably move at a slower pace here, because that’s how I am moving forward in this season.
I’m not going to be focusing 1-on-1 coaching or group coaching right now, but I am creating a product to help you move forward in daily worship!! I cannot wait to share it with you!
Also, The Good Morning Collective website is just about finished!! Social media is a tough place for some of us to be right now and that’s ok! My hope is that the website is an alternative space for you to get guidance on having a worshipful morning.
I’m grateful for you all & excited for what is to come!

Once I recognized I was in burnout, I honestly stayed in it for a bit. I didn't want to quit, I didn't want to let people down, I didn't want to say no, and I didn't want to be a failure. I wanted to keep showing up. I tried all kinds of things to help.
I tried creating a better schedule. I tried planning out every minute of my day. I tried more coffee. I tried waking up earlier. I tried working out more. I tried squeezing in an afternoon meditation. Do you see a theme there? Yes, more! I was trying to combat burnout by controlling everything and adding more. It didn't work.

Yesterday in The Good Morning Club Email we talked about what DID work. There’s a path to start healing! It’s about letting go.

Today in The Good Morning Club Email we are going to talk about healing from burnout.
Last week we talked about recognizing signs of burnout, and now will we will talk about how to move forward after that.
I will tell you now that I don’t think that there is a quick recovery. It is a healing process that takes lots of time. It’s worth the time though and you will come out the other side feeling revived and renewed.
