Knot At Work Fishing Charters

Last charter in my 35ST Contender. Funds went through during our trip to the secret spot. Sold, sold sold! Lots of bites and all the good fish were shared by many 5 to 6 foot spinner and blacktip sharks 🦈 . Even the pelicans gave my boat a farewell fly by in Shem Creek. Extremely satisfied with my 8 year relationship with this 35ST Contender. Hopefully back on the water in a couple weeks to regroup with a newer model. We were able to slide into 3rd place today in The Lowcountry Open King Mackerel Tournament. Unlike yesterday at a different location, we had a lot of bites and caught 10 kings including our largest 28.8 pounds. Hopefully we won some gas money and entry fees back. Eli was on his game today. He caught fish, gaffed fish and drove the boat during a strong bite from 10 am until noon. Raymond was busy too with 2 rookie anglers. Weather was awesome too. Congratulations to the winners and everyone who made it to the scales. Back to fishing later in the week.

Pre-fishing yesterday was fire. Eli got some gaff practice and Kase caught his first of several king mackerel including a really nice tournament fish. Today was a different story. Eli, Raymond and I could only catch a teenager king. We decided not to run it to the weigh-in at Ocean Isle. We will regroup tomorrow in The Lowcountry Open King Mackerel Tournament. We caught giant bait twice already, loaded the bait pens and now heading out to do some king mackerel pre-fishing for The Jolly Mon and Lowcountry Open King Mackerel Tournaments this weekend. Hopefully we can find some fish today.

It took 2 hours to go through over 150 live shrimp for my 6 anglers at the secret spot. 13 different species and one of my vips landed a 5 foot shark after it ate a trout otw to the boat. Fun repeat clients. Going to attempt to fish 2 different king mackerel tournaments in 2 different states over the weekend. Big news possibly next week for my charter business too.

Need big kings for both The Jolly Mon and Lowcountry Open.

Happy 15th Birthday to my son Eli today!

We had to regroup to the secret offshore reef. Weeds were covering our first spot and we couldn't troll live bait. Found a spot without any weeds and Weston, my super vip caught a fish almost as big as him! It was his first ever ocean trip. Strong quality bites for my locals.

We made it to the secret nearshore reef. Spades wouldn't cooperate with the clouds. It was windy on the beach but really nice about 5 miles out. Fun group especially Ville from Finland. Tons of small fish with a a few nice size seabass. Back out there again tomorrow further offshore.

Fun local family on the boat today. Caught bait near lots of boats that need castnet lessons. Bite was extremely good. Got back in the harbor before the wind started blowing.

We fished several spots before we found fish wanting to bite. Strong fishing from noon until 230. My guys had a great time in perfect ocean conditions. Big sharks were horrible. Back out there again tomorrow.
