Central Michigan Belly Dance

Unfortunately, I have to cancel class tonight. Sorry! As soon as I started moving around and getting ready to leave work, I realized I was in no shape to dance. Again, sorry for the late notice and for overestimating my stamina.

Notice about tonight's class (9/13/2024): I have a cold (tested negative for covid). I'm going to modify class into drills only. But if you don't want to drill, or be exposed to a virus, I thought I'd warn you now to save you a trip. :)

Come support CMBD and Triskelion at the For Arts Sake Market for the Arts this weekend! Food trucks, TONS of art vendors, and of course, live entertainment! Our first performance of the year will be Saturday, August 24, beginning at 11 am.

Just a reminder that Morey is closed tonight due to the 4th of July weekend. See you next week!

Reminder: no class tomorrow, June 14, while I'm in NY :)

I am so sorry for the late notice, but I have to cancel tonight. I fell while carrying a load of laundry by tripping on a cord, and my knee has continued to swell throughout the day.

While I'm announcing cancellations, no class on 6/14 because I will be out of town. :)

Can't wait to see you soon! Classes run 5/31 and 6/7, and then again starting 6/21.

Mark your calendars... on May 3 at 5:30 pm, bellydance returns to Morey Courts!

Classes at Morey are suspended until the new year. I'll keep posting here so you don't forget about me ;)

Please join us at Morey Courts on Friday at 5:15 pm for fitness class! It is walk in and costs $10 (free to members). Wear your preferred fitness attire. For all levels of dance experience and fitness, including complete beginners! It's a small class.

Curious what the fitness class is like? It includes about 20 minutes of instruction (e.g., how to do snake arms), 20 minutes of lead-and-follow dances like the one linked below, and 20 minutes of veil/cooldown/stretching. It is for all fitness and dance levels, including complete beginners! We love the opportunity to share this dance with others and this class is low commitment- no packages, no "sessions," etc. Just come on days when you can and skip on days when you can't! And class is only $10 (free for Morey members- check with your housing complex if they offer free memberships) so there isn't too much to lose. Come try us out!
