This is 13 year old Reese Bill from Vision Volleyball Club in Northern California.

The first thing that stood out to me was her attitude.

She was never too high or too low.

She had cool calm and collected energy the entire match no matter the score.

And when the pressure was on, she thrived.

The second thing was her hands.

No matter if she was standing setting or jump setting she had high hands and the ball came out of her hands soft.

Many times I saw her ball hang in the air for her hitters with no spin (That’s every hitters dream!)

The third was her footwork to the ball.

Rarely did you see her bump set the ball as she hustled to set the ball with her hands.

She also did a great job squaring up to her outside hitters pole and kept the ball off the net a good distance so her hitters had space to hit.

I hope you read this to be inspired by Reese because you can learn from your peers and implement into your game.

And if you want to learn the simple ways for you to have a resilient mindset so you can lead your team to play under pressure and thrive in tight situations…
