Michigan’s Central Swing will no longer offer play & stay packages to groups visiting the area.
However, we are still here to help assist golf groups in planning golf getaways to central Michigan! We will still offer: expert advice on area golf courses, lodging facilities and things to do based on your needs!
We want to thank you all for supporting our program and following along with us on social media. Within the next few weeks, our page will no longer be available BUT don’t think you’re getting rid of us that easy; we recommend now following Mount Pleasant Area Convention and Visitors Bureau to stay up-to-date on area information, golf promotions, things to do and more in the Mt. Pleasant area.
In the meantime, we will be sharing information on other play & stay programs in the area and how to stay connected.

An alternative type of golf ball, known as a feathery, also appeared around the era of the wooden ball. A feathery was basically a leather pouch filled with chicken or goose feathers (hence the name).
Due to the extensive labor and materials required, a single feathery ball would often cost the modern-day equivalent of $10-$20 bucks. 😱 🐔
