Carolina Evo Softball- 10u

What a day!! Thought the rain was going to mess it up, but we got to finish, and what a finish!! Had to go to the ole odd/even clicker to determine 1st and 2nd seed, and lost it landing 2 seed. Fought hard in game 3 and had to take it to extra innings and ITB for the 2nd week straight. Ended it with a walk off HR to win it to a great team. Then championship, here comes the rain, but the girls held strong and did what they came to do.

4-0 on the day, scoring 40 and giving up 9. Gold bracket champs for the girls today!! So proud of them for fighting and bringing it home!! 🏆

Proud of this team after yesterday’s tournament. First ones there and one of the last to leave, making it a LONG, VERY HOT DAY. Team went 3-1 on the day, earned the #1 seed in the Gold Bracket, and battled all the way to the Gold Championship game. Came up just short in extra innings under ITB, but the fight, heart, and grit these girls showed all day was something to be proud of.
Not the ending we wanted, but a lot to build on and plenty to be proud of. Back to work to be ready for the next one.

What a game for Evo! 🥎🔥

Cadence Forest was dominant in the circle, pitching a shutout! Huge bats from Willow White, Brylie Meeks, and Alivia Vences, all blasting home runs. Proud of this team and the way they showed up today! 💪🏽🏆

As a coach sometimes you just dont have the words to say. 14 hours at the ball field, blistering cold wind to start, sunny and warm, then back to cold windy night air. These girls just dont have "quit" in their bones. Scoring 77 runs and allowing 7 all day long, they brought it. The best offensive day these girls have had. The bats were HOT. The pitching even hotter. Its been 4 months since we've played and only about 3 practices on a field, but these girls have work their butts off to get back in the groove. A coach is just a piece of this puzzle, the players are every corner and middle piece to place it.

What a way to start our last 10u season!! What a great day, and what a great group of girls!!

So proud of our girls and their first 10u season! We had low expectations this season as we knew it would be a learning curve. But, boy were we blown away! 15-12-3 for our first season is something to be proud of. Being used to the winners circle in 8u and then moving up comes with its mental challenges. But, these girls know how to work together, find the grit when they need to, and leave it all on the field.

One more tournament to round out our first 10u season and hoping to bring home our fourth piece of hardware! We’re proud of our girls for adjusting so quickly and learning this new level of play, but we’re ready for swimming pools and beaches in this heat 😜 They’ve earned it!
