August was a busy month at the Mt. Sterling Community Center, and we’re grateful for every bit of impact we were able to make along the way. ❤️

Our August Community Impact Report is a reflection of what happens when volunteers, donors, partners, and community members continue to come together to support our programs, resources, and neighbors. Thank you to everyone who plays a part in making this work possible!

August also brought one of our biggest community events of the summer, our Back to School Bash/ National Night Out. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make that evening possible and to all of the families who joined us.

There’s a lot more to share from that night, so keep an eye out for our Back to School Bash/ National Night Out Impact Report coming in the next few days!

Our shelves are stocked by the generosity of our community, and we are so grateful for everyone who has made a donation to the Community Center lately. ❤️

Many of the donations we’ve received have gone directly toward keeping our Food Pantry stocked and ready to serve our neighbors. As we head further into the school year, we’re also getting ready to ramp Bright Bites back up and continue providing food to local students who can benefit from a little extra support outside of school.

Whether you donated one item, a bag full of groceries, or helped in another way, it all adds up and helps us continue this work. Thank you for continuing to show up for your neighbors and for helping us take care of our community!

We are proud to be hosting the American Red Cross Blood Drive at the Mt. Sterling Community Center on Wednesday, September 16th from 10am–3pm at the Community Center.

Donating blood is a simple way to make a potentially lifesaving difference for someone who needs it. If you’re able to give, we encourage you to make an appointment and join us!
Appointments can be scheduled by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visiting RedCrossBlood.org and entering sponsor code MSCC.

There’s plenty happening at the Mt. Sterling Community Center this week, with something extra special to look forward to on Saturday!

Along with our regular programs and activities throughout the week, we’ll be welcoming author David Junk to the Community Center this Saturday, September 12th! We’re excited to host this special event that is put on by the Friends of the Mt. Sterling Library and hope you’ll join us.

The gymnasium here at the Mt. Sterling Community Center is currently closed due to the floor being refinished.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to get the space updated for future events and happenings. An update will come when the gym is open again. We look forward to welcoming everyone back into the space soon!

We are incredibly honored to share that the Mt. Sterling Community Center has received the Spring 2026 Friends of WIC Award from the Ohio Department of Health Women, Infants, and Children Program! ❤️

This recognition means so much to us because it reflects something at the heart of our mission: working together to make resources, support, and care more accessible to the people in our community.

A special thank you to Gina Grace and Madison County WIC for the nomination and for their continued partnership with the Community Center. We’re also incredibly grateful for our volunteers, donors, partners, and supporters who make it possible for us to continue serving our community in so many different ways.

We are honored by this recognition and even more honored to continue doing the work behind it.

July was another month full of community, connection, and impact at the Mt. Sterling Community Center. ❤️

From our Summer Youth Program and Food Pantry to community programs, outreach, generous donations, volunteers, and everything happening behind the scenes, so many people played a part in making this month possible.

Our July Community Impact Report gives a glimpse at what we accomplished together, but the numbers only tell part of the story. Every donation given, hour volunteered, program attended, and helping hand offered adds to the impact being made right here in our community.

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, support our mission, and make this work possible. We couldn’t do it without you!
