Mount Vernon Shamrocks Women's Basketball The Boys & Girls Club of Mount Vernon is 104 years old and is one of the oldest youth establishments

In June 2017, Marsha Blount became the CEO of the new Women's Basketball Association. Marsha's vision brought her back to her roots of basketball which were nurtured in three critical venues: Mount Vernon's Famed 4th Street Playground, the Boys & Girls Club of Mount Vernon and Mount Vernon High School. She reached out to two of her former friends with Basketball etched in the Mount Vernon Fabric,

Mia Williamson and Patrice Wallace-Moore. Along Crystal Dorsey Dames & Dierdre Wallace Hines, these are the owners of the MV Shamrocks Team. WE are looking to find additional investors to help this program get off the ground and be successful. By 2022, we have added Michael Hammett as Team President & Edwin “Munch” Lopiz as coach.
