Iron Men Wrestling Academy

It's with a heavy heart that I (Coach Curt) have decided to not put on IMWA this season. My family has had quite a bit of change as of late and feel very strongly that the Lord would have us to focus on things at home. I love coaching wrestling! Most of all I love developing young men and teaching them how they can be men after God's own heart.

I'm confident that you haven't seen the last of IMWA. When it returns it'll be better than ever.

I appreciate the trust you instilled in us over the last couple years and I look forward to seeing your boys on the mats this winter. Get them involved in school feeder programs and clubs! Mat time is essential to making great wrestlers.

Hey IMWA folks. We had talk of our elementary camp being next week, but have decided to cancel. IMWA for 5-14 year olds will start back the first Tuesday in October!

If you have a 4th - 12 grader interested in intense off-season workouts, IMWA will be hosting camp on Tuesday nights at Henderson County High School July/August/September. Here's the link to sign up:

Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon, IN Mt. Vernon Baptist Church is a family of believers that love God's word and each other. They gather for worship each Sunday morning at 10:30 am.

Open mats are going to be cancelled tonight at IMWA. We will be back at it next Tuesday @ 5 pm.

We do have practice tonight at 5:30. It will be the last practice of 22-23 IMWA Foundations Season. We're working on finalizing our summer offerings, so stay tuned!

How fitting is it that Bowen “the bare knuckle Irishman” Levings is our wrestler of the week! We have really been working on bo to use real moves and not just raw aggression during live wrestling. Tonight we worked a sit out series and he was executing very well.

 The luck of the Irish takes the day! Great job Bowen!

If you’ve got a little guy and you’re aiming toward wrestling, I can’t recommend strongly enough that you get them in some kind of tumbling class. Strength (especially core strength) flexibility, and spacial orientation are key to being a good wrestler. Tumbling from a young age gives wrestlers a good start, and TNT does it up right!

Toddler Time Session 2 Registration opens tomorrow (3/15) at 8:00 a.m.!

Our man Kylan Hall is the wrestler of the week at IMWA. Coach Jacob called him out for some excellent chain wrestling tonight: got taken down, but immediately did a sit-out, into a switch, into a half, turned his opponent and got the pin! The sweaty head says it all!

Hey we’re back to normal practice tomorrow. 530-730 at the MAC Fitness Center. Hope your Ironman can come join us!

Great mat time put in last night at our exhibition match with Evansville Christian. A lot of good matches and a good opportunity for some of our new guys to get a feel for competition. Thanks to ECS for hosting!

One final reminder that IMWA is on location tonight at Evansville Christian School. 6 - 8 pm. Wrestlers need to be there by 5:40 pm. Wear your IMWA shirt. Parents it'll be $1/per person at the door/Max of $3 per family.
