What are you willing to do to get to that next level…
I’ve been coaching and training kids since I was 16. Playing sports, competitive or recreationally keeps you young. Staying injury free is first priority, so how do we achieve that?
•It’s not about spending more time training.
•It’s recovery, sleep, hydration, mobility/flexibility, nutrition, and a sound mind.
•Everyone ‘knows’ what you’re ‘supposed’ to do… but how many apply it?
Sometimes, all you need is accountability and direction.

I am so so thrilled for this!!!! Many of you don’t know my past life of being a competitive Figure Skater, Coach (over 15 years) and professional Figure Skater with for the majority of my life.
Much of that life ceased when I got married, had kids and moved to Morgan Hill 10 years ago. I reached out to Sharks Ice VP a decade ago and it’s finally happening! So so soooo excited!!!
This facility will be amazing and all the kids have another option for physical activity and to cool off in our hot Summers!!
Maybe it’s time to get back on the ice and coach again! 🥰
Design unveiled for huge Sharks ice skating complex in Gilroy A massive ice sports center is coming to Gilroy in 2026, and will feature two NHL-sized rinks, a restaurant and bar, a café and a fitness center, and will host year-round public skating.

Training IS a stressor and often times, I need to program rest days into my athletes and clients programs. Your body can’t recover if you are constantly tearing it apart. More sessions, more days, more weight, more more more is NOT always better.

Training is a stressor. It breaks you down.
Then your body recovers and "supercompensates" so that your new "baseline" fitness is at a higher level than it was before.
It's called the supercompensation curve. The body's fitness actually dips down below where it started first, then returns to baseline, and then increases over baseline.
If you train again too soon, we don't improve. If you wait too long, you lose the improvement.
Every training strategy or program needs to be accompanied by a recovery strategy or program.
Our goal is to move the supercompensation curve UP (more improvement) and to the LEFT (faster recovery).
It starts with smart programming - it's hard to recover and adapt to junk training or excessively high volumes. But it also encompasses various regeneration techniques like soft tissue work, cryotherapy and nutrition.
Work on your recovery and regeneration program alongside your training program.
