A reminder on mat time this month!

Grizzly Summer Open Mats

We are hosting two separate open mat sessions this summer which started July 21st through August 21st.

· Tuesdays –
Aug 11th, Aug 18th
5-6p will be open to ALL wrestlers entering grades 3-8

· Thursday or Friday (see flyer) – 5-6p will be for GIRLS ONLY entering grades 3-8

Every year our Mukwonago Wrestling Club awards Senior scholarships. This year we were happy to award two individuals! Congratulations to both Gavin and Colton!

Congratulations and good luck the following 5 wrestlers who will be competing in "Fargo" from July 10th-18th.

Starting with Ben Pece who will be competing in the 16U division at 126 lbs. in both Freestyle and Greco. Blake Baumann & Josh Czerniejewski will be competing in 16U Greco at 157 lbs. Will Vang in the Junior Greco at 175 lbs. Finally Zofia Chitwood will be competing 16U Women's Freestyle at 106 lbs.
Fargo is the biggest tournament in the world This year they expect to host close to 10,000 high School wrestlers, all competing in very large brackets, last year several brackets exceeded 150 wresters, each wrestler is hoping to earn the coveted stop sign as an All'-American. Now the official name of "Fargo" is the U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals. But we all call it "Fargo". Men's Freestyle will be competed from July 10-12th, Greco from July 14-15th & Women's Freestyle will be competed July 16-18th.

Again wish them good luck as the amount of work these 5 have done in practice and spring tournaments will surely benefit them . Super Proud.

Mukwonago Wrestling Families, it’s that time! Summer is around the corner and we have some opportunities for your wrestlers to get on the mat, have fun, and learn a few new moves!

An email was sent out with information on M-Camp, Open Mats, and the Cookin in the Kettle Tournament.

It’s time to give back! On Saturday, May 30th, join us to help clean up our section of County Road I! Details are below!

Who: Any and all members/families/friends of MWC
What: Help to clean up the sides of County Rd I from garbage and debris.
Where: 7:45am meet at the section of County Rd I and County Rd NN.
When: Saturday, May 30th. 7:45am meet up. 8am - 9:30am

Dress for the weather and wear comfortable clothing! We will have vests and trash bags available.

On Saturday in Geneva Ohio, USA wrestling will be holding the U23 world wrestling trials. The winners of each weight class will represent the USA in the U23 world championships, held this year in Las Vegas in October. This year two former Mukwonago wrestling club wrestlers will be competing in Freestyle. Tyler Goebel and Grant Stromberg , brackets are on USA bracketing, and streaming is on Flo wrestling, the mukwonago wrestling club is proud of these two wrestlers.
