“Yoga begins now”
(yoga sutra 1:1)
In-person and virtual yoga classes, private yoga classes and coaching, guided meditation, energy healing, and workshops.

https://www.zokawa.com/ Mission: ZOKAWA forges new paths in peoples’ lives through a holistic awareness of body, mind, and spirit. Vision: ZOKAWA is a safe place where people have fun, unlearn, explore, engage, discover, heal, and become whole and complete. We foster these practices in every class, event, and interaction. What is the meaning of ZOKAWA? In Japanese, “ZO” means “elephant” and “KAWA” means river.

Chair yoga wednesdays and fridays at 10am!
Starting in September!
What is Chair Yoga?!
Traditional postures and stretches are modified to be performed while seated in a
chair or using the chair as a support prop for standing movements, making the practice accessible
for people with limited mobility, injuries, or balance concerns.

Your mind will produce thousands of thoughts.
Some helpful.
Some ridiculous.
Some frightening.
Some beautiful.
Some completely contradictory.
And yet we often treat every thought as a statement of truth.
"I can't do this."
"I'm going to mess this up."
"They don't like me."
"I'm not good enough."
The thought appeared.
That doesn't make it true.
One of the most powerful things you can learn is how to create a little space between:
having a thought
and
believing the thought.
That little space is where choice lives.

“I’ve always been bad at that.”
“I’m just not a morning person.”
“I’m terrible with money.”
“I’m not creative.”
“I’m too sensitive.”
“I’m not a people person.”
“I’m just an anxious person.”
We say these things as if they’re facts.
But where did they come from?
Who first told you?
What experiences reinforced them?
And—perhaps most importantly—
Are they still true?
Self-understanding means examining even the stories we’ve told about ourselves for so long that we’ve forgotten they’re stories.
You don’t have to reject everything you believe about yourself.
Just be willing to investigate.
Some beliefs deserve to stay.
Others may be ready to go

Satya: truth
The second Yama.
Pantanjali teaches us that there are 3 levels of honesty: 1) thought - recognizing self deception and shifting to truth; 2) speech - avoiding deception or discredit to others while choosing words that express clearly and sincerely; 3) action - doing what is in alignment with your core values (aka - refraining from people-pleasing when it’s not in alignment with you)
