Tribune Showprint Posters

Open Press Night is this Thursday from 5-8pm. This is a free event and no letterpress experience is needed! If you aren’t sure about printing but love organizing we have some things that need to be sorted and put up after the recent flood scare. This month we are also accepting donations of cleaning supplies. We will get the donations to the Southside Neighborhood Association where they will distribute them at a few upcoming events. Laundry soap, household cleaners, mops, paper towel, heavy duty trash bags etc are needed for so many to help with the clean up process after the floods.

We made it through safe. We got less rain last night than predicted so some of the water levels have went down. That should be enough even with more rain on its way. We have broken many records here in Muncie that no one wants to. Here are some photos of what the river normally looks like and what has happened in the last few days. Many aren’t as lucky. Heart of Indiana United Way are collecting monetary donations to help the many who have lost so much. Now to put the shop back together.

We are closed today and possibly tomorrow. The shop is in the flood zone so we are taking time today to prepare for the worst and hoping for the best. The shop is currently fine but the river isn’t done rising and more rain is on the way. Send good vibes and keep everyone that has been affected so far in your thoughts.

Whew this summer has been busy and I’ve been terrible at posting. Here are few things we have done so far. I’ll try to post a bit more regularly for everyone to see all the fun work we are up to.

Also this month we are taking diaper donations for Heart of Indiana United Way if you are able or willing to donate, please bring the donations Thursday. If you have prints you want to pick up from the steamroller event, feel free to drop by as well.

Here’s a little preview of the magic from last night. The steamroller event this year was so much fun! I’m so thankful that the community has embraced this and showed up in such a huge way last night. There was so much creativity and excitement. Thank you to each of you who participated and a huge thank you to everyone who volunteered to make this happen. I have to give a shout out to how great of partners have been in making the event happen. More photos soon.
