This is a reminder that there is a callout meeting today after school. We will also be having our first workout tonight from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Ball Gym. Don’t forget you must have a physical on file in the athletic office in order to participate in the workout! See everyone tonight!

We are having a call out meeting for all boys in grades 9 - 12 at Burris and the Indiana Academy, who are interested in coming out for basketball this year.

Workouts will begin on Monday evening as well. Please be sure the Burris Athletic Office has a physical on file to be able to participate!

Join us this summer for The Legacy Basketball Program, a free 6-week league honoring the life and passion of Jim Dunham. Young athletes will sharpen their basketball skills, build confidence, and compete in a fun, supportive environment.

🏀 Varsity: 8-6 in June, including a strong showing at the 2026 IBCA/IHSAA Charlie Hughes Showcase:
• L 46-41 vs. Purdue Poly Englewood
• W 51-41 vs. Indianapolis Lutheran

Our JV squad made tremendous strides, gaining valuable experience and continuing to build confidence throughout the month.

👏 A special shoutout to our middle school players who voluntarily showed up all summer to train and improve. Your commitment, work ethic, and dedication to becoming future Owls have not gone unnoticed. The future of Burris Basketball is bright because of your investment today.

🦉 Week 3 at the Elwood Summer League

A tough test against Alexandria and a strong bounce-back against Blue River. Both Varsity and JV battled all day, finishing the week with wins over the Vikings.

Today’s scrimmages with Anderson Prep and Frankfort are unfortunately be closed to the public. We will be live streaming all of the scrimmages to allow parents and spectators to be able to watch from our Facebook team account. Week 2 Results – Elwood Summer League

The Varsity team finished 1-1 on the day, falling to Knightstown before bouncing back with a win over Tri-Central.

The JV team battled hard but came up short in an overtime loss to Anderson Prep.

Both the Varsity and JV teams return to action this Thursday as we host Frankfort and Anderson Prep for closed scrimmages. We look forward to another opportunity to compete, improve, and continue building throughout the summer. 🏀💪
