Hello Divers!

The flooding around the quarry has receded so it is safe once again to enter the quarry. We ask that you park up above as down below the water is still high. Current visibility is still unknown but as we get divers out there we will update you. As far as water temperature the upper 15 feet of water is in the high 80s. Below that is 55-65 degrees until you get closer to the bottom where it's about 45 degrees.

For the most comfort during a dive in the upper water you can get away with a 3mm. Below about 12 feet you will likely need a 5mm. If you plan to stay below the coldest thermocline for an extended period of time then drysuits, 7mm wetsuits with hood and definitely gloves are still recommended.

If you haven't gone diving yet this season it's important to note that there is a new entrance into Philips Outdoor Center. You can only get into the quarry by approaching it from the East on East Main Street. There is a right hand turn into the new road created that leads up to the gate. If you are approaching from the West on West Jackson Street you will need to drive past the quarry and make a U-Turn at Bunch Blvd. If you have any questions or need assistance getting into the quarry please call us at the Dive Center! 765-288-8144.

Hello divers! Due to the storms and flooding in the area, Philips Outdoor Center will not be open today, Thursday August 13th or tomorrow Friday August 14th. The roads surrounding the quarry are flooded and unsafe to travel, as well as the road leading up to the quarry. The quarry itself is at a high risk of being flooded from the river water as well. We will keep you updated as conditions change. Please stay safe!

Join the Delaware Divers at Philips Outdoor Center Sunday July 12th at 1pm.

Bring a dish to share and the club will provide a main food dish. This meeting is our Annual Treasure Hunt! Every club member that participates in the dive will win a prize! Come on out for some fun!

Be sure to pay for quarry fees at the store or check out the options for various quarry passes available for the dive season.
