Muncie Crime Stoppers board of directors attended the 30th annual Red Ribbon breakfast this morning at the Corner Center for the Arts. The event had guest speakers from the Connection Cafe Muncie to tell us about their substance addiction struggles and how the Connection Cafe has helped them get over their addiction and move on with their lives. Each speaker had a story about their addiction, the consequences it caused in their lives and how they became substance free. They told of how the Connection Cafe helped them clean their lives up and start down the road to recovery It was very interesting. The Prevention Council Pride Team performed skits, dances and songs advocating a substance free life. The Pride Team will next week visit area elementary schools and perform their substance free messages. The program was very good. Board members attending the breakfast were Cindy Qualls, Kathy Brinson, Clares Burke, and Jeff Hansard along with Director Bruce Qualls. At the end of the program Bruce was surprised with receiving the Jean Wright Community Dedication Award for 2026.
