Volunteers needed!

Saturday, September 19. 8:00 AM. Westside Park.

40 people have already signed up. We have room for a lot more — and we need two kinds of help: Volunteers, and Crew Leaders to lead them.

Since 2006, this cleanup has pulled roughly 150,000 pounds of trash and close to a thousand tires out of the White River. Neighbors, on a Saturday morning, with garbage bags. That's the trick.

The river ran high this year, and it left a lot behind.

If you’ve volunteered before, we need you!

We need 30 Crew Leaders on September 19. Right now we have eight.

A Crew Leader takes a group of volunteers, keeps them safe, and makes sure their stretch of the river gets finished.

Here's the entire qualification: you've been to a White River Cleanup before, and you watch a couple of short videos online. That's it. No meeting, no class, no evening you have to give up.

40 volunteers have already signed up, and every Crew Leader we're short is a stretch of river those volunteers don't get to. Last year we finished about half.
