Today we celebrate and recognize our newest WKU Equestrian Team Alumni! We congratulate our graduates on all of their hard work during their time on the Hill and we wish them the very best!

We are so proud of Mary and all that she has accomplished during her time here at WKU!

Join us in congratulating Mary Niblett, a Hilltopper from White House, TN, graduating with a major in Agriculture with a concentration in Agronomy Plant and Soil Science.

“The best part of my time here at WKU was meeting people. No matter how I met them, whether it was a friend of a friend or during my study abroad trip. Altogether, I have loved getting to hear all the personal stories that are gathered here at WKU. What has helped me grow the most as a person and has been the biggest blessing to me is my time on the WKU Equestrian Team. It allowed me to do things I never thought I could do or even have the opportunity to try.”

🎯 What’s next for Mary?
“I will be moving back to Tennessee to explore my many interests and hopefully return to school in a few years to continue my education.”

We are so proud of team members Julia Schuurman and Remi Hensley for their participation in the 56th Annual Student Scholar Showcase!

These members have worked hard over the past several months to prepare their projects which highlight some of the amazing learning and opportunities that take place within the equine program at WKU!

𝑺𝑬𝑵𝑰𝑶𝑹 𝑺𝑷𝑶𝑻𝑳𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻

Josh Ingram is graduating this spring with a degree in Agriculture with a concentraiotn in Equine Science! Josh has been a very impactful member of this team and can almost always be found in the barn helping out! We are so sad to see Josh’s time with us come to a close, but we can’t wait to see what he accomplishes in the future!

Plans for after graduation: “I will be attending farrier school along with equine dentistry school.”

Advice for future team members: “No matter where you come from or how much experience you have in the equine world, there’s always room to grow even in the smallest ways. Treat every ride and every horse as a chance to sharpen your skills and discover something new. Stay patient, stay disciplined, and never hesitate to ask questions from coaches or teammates who can help you along the way. Most importantly, enjoy the journey. Have fun, appreciate the shared moments, and let the memories you make fuel your passion.”
