ACADEMY PLAYER OF THE MONTH 🔥

Congratulations to Carter Clagg of our U16 Red TSL team! 👏⚽️

Carter delivered an unbelievable performance in our TSL opener, scoring two goals in the draw against TSC. He’s also been finding the back of the net in recent scrimmages, showing great confidence and consistency in front of goal.

Beyond the goals, Carter continues to be a great teammate, bringing effort, energy, and a positive attitude every time he steps on the field.

🌟 ACADEMY SPOTLIGHT: COACH JERMAINE MUIRHEAD 🌟

From Jamaica to Tennessee, Coach Jermaine’s soccer journey has been anything but ordinary. After arriving in America, facing setbacks, losing his scholarship, and transferring schools, there was even a point where he considered walking away from the game.

Today, Jermaine is not only playing semi-professionally with Tennessee Tempo, but also giving back as a coach within our Academy. ⚽️

For Jermaine, coaching is about more than teaching the game. It’s about sharing his knowledge, developing young players, building confidence, and helping the next generation become the future of the club.

We’re proud to have Coach Jermaine as part of the Tennessee Tempo family and grateful for everything he brings to our players both on and off the field. 💙

🔥 TEAM OF THE WEEK! 🔥

Our U16 Red squad has earned this week’s Team of the Week honors after putting in the work every day at training and showing that growth on the field. 💪⚽️

Through their first two TSL matches, U16 Red has collected 4 of a possible 6 points — battling to a draw in the opener before dominating Armada FC, 3-0, in their latest match. 🔴⚪️🔵

The improvement is showing, and the work doesn’t stop here.

From Paraguay 🇵🇾 to the University of the Cumberlands, to playing professionally and overseas, Coach Nico Riveros has built his journey around the game he loves — and now he’s passing that experience on to the next generation.

Congratulations to Noah Arnold on being named our U17 Red Player of the Month for August! 👏⚽️

With a significant need at centerback entering the season, Noah stepped up and embraced a position outside of his preferred role. His willingness to put the team first, show up every day ready to work, and do whatever is needed to help his teammates succeed has made him a dominant defensive presence and a true example of what it means to put the team above yourself.

Everyone Meet Coach Brandon!

Growing up in Washington State, Brandon’s love for soccer started at an early age. He played with XF and later earned the opportunity to play in the Seattle Sounders Academy, experiences that helped shape his passion for the game and player development.

Today, Brandon brings that passion to coaching through his work with Nashville SC Youth Programs. As a U.S. Soccer National D licensed coach, he focuses on developing players who are confident, creative, competitive, and great teammates.

“I want our players to compete every day, but I also want them to enjoy the journey. My goal is to create an environment where players can work hard, be themselves, make mistakes, and keep coming back ready to get better.”

For Brandon, the goal is simple: develop better players, better teammates, and better people while helping them fall in love with the game.

SUPER PROUD OF THESE YOUNG MEN! 💙⚽️

This group has been tested early. We’ve been hit with so many injuries that we’ve had to start games with only 10 players and finish with 8, yet these young men never made excuses.

They stayed together, trusted each other, and continued playing our way, maintaining 60%+ possession and finding a way to compete and win.

Those two games. Two 5–1 victories. 💪🏾🔥

What makes me most proud isn’t just the results, it’s the mental toughness, resilience, and character each player has shown through adversity.

A huge THANK YOU to our parents for trusting TN Tempo as a partner to nurture and challenge each of student athletes, trusting the process, and supporting how we chose to navigate the unforeseen injuries. Your support has been incredible.

Now, the guys are getting healthy and returning! 🙌🏾

This group**, undefeated in TSL & NPL and U16 State Champions last season**, continues raising the standard. They are currently #1 in N1 play at U17 while also competing in UPSL Division 1.

Different challenges. Higher standards. Same commitment.
