spring will be here before you know it. i am noticing the changes everyday. have you?
today, i would like to share my morning ritual & self care routine
morning rituals are very important to me to start my day
ayurveda believes that self care can help to eliminate imbalances. for me, it has helped to be more in tuned with my body. the more i care for it, the more i notice if something is off
i may not do them everyday, but notice a difference, if I don’t
morning ritual
upon waking
*tongue scrape
*brush teeth
*rinse face & eyes with cool water
*drink room temperature/warm water(8-12oz)
*sip on detoxifying tea(see notes for current recipe) it changes depending on my intuition
*journal
*depending on the day depends on the workout out(yoga, weight training, conditioning, walking, stretching)
*sit in silence
it’s important not begin a self care routine with a million of them because it can be overwhelming. just try one, then add on
**liver detoxifying tea
bring 20 whole black pepper, 20 whole cloves, 20 whole green cardamom pods & 5 sticks of cinnamon to one gallon of water. bring to a boil simmer for two hours. let steep overnight

sunday reset is necessary to close out a long hectic momma week & to get ready for another
it’s all about balance y’all
the yin to all the yang
this was my sunday reset
slept in
sipped on peppermint tea while waking up
family time
cleaning
self care
rest
let’s not forget about the two football games today
30 min
yin practice
held poses for 2-3 minutes
*child’s pose
*thread needle R&L in child pose
*puppy pose
*sphinx pose
*cobra
*wide legged down dog
*deer pose R&L
*seated twist R&L
*seated forward fold
*straddle pose
*seated forward fold
*legs up the wall
remember to breath…

As I sit outside, feeling the heat of the sun bathe my skin. Listening to the birds sing a melody through the wind and the chimes swaddling my mind. The sky floating above centering My Earth. My dogs enchanted by the freshness of new life and wallowed in blades of grass that sprouts from beneath our feet. Leaves sprinkling themselves upon branches that feed their blooms and awaken my dristi. As small creatures jump from vine to vine, humoring me with a playful dance. The air is gently rocking me so softly opening my scent to Springs sweet nectar. Cocooned me in her rapture of a soft billowing cloak. Nestling me with love, until I am ready to fly
