What a beautiful day to ride! ☀️🐴
Our riders are making strides every day as they build confidence, develop new skills, and strengthen their partnership with their equine partners.
Week 3 of our summer session and we are so proud of all the hard work and progress we’re seeing. Keep it up, riders! ❤️

Another successful volunteer orientation! 🎉
A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to join us and learn more about our program. High Lonesome Therapeutic Equestrian Center would not be possible without the dedication, compassion, and hard work of our volunteers.
We are grateful for each and every person who chooses to share their time and talents to help support our riders, horses, and mission. We can’t wait to have you as part of the team!
Thankful for all of our amazing volunteers! ❤️🐴

Sometimes riding doesn’t go according to plan. Whether it’s an injury to your horse or an injury that keeps you out of the saddle, there are still ways to learn, practice, and stay active.
Today, Arvil found a creative solution and got some “ride time” on his new horse, Quick Pistol Ellie! 🐴💙
Therapeutic riding is about so much more than being in the saddle. It’s about problem-solving, building confidence, staying engaged, and making the most of every opportunity. When obstacles arise, we adapt, improvise, and keep moving forward.

We love reading the wonderful comments our followers post! Thank you for your support! 👏
One post was recently made by Ariane Reeves our very own long-time volunteer and Instructor-in-training. She just reminds us, progress is made with practice and showing up! She shows up in a big way with her motivation to learn to become a certified instructor! It is a very arduous and time consuming course of learning. What a fantastic reminder that we can all continue to learn and grow! 📝💗🐴🫶
"High Lonesome serves those with therapeutic needs as well as recreational riders who want to learn more. 67 year old recreational rider here! Thinking of coming back to riding after a break (having a family, work commitments, and similar)? Come join us and enjoy riding again by taking lessons from highly trained instructors!"
