Been a hot one here lately but the bite continues to be steady! Reds and flounders have been good on the inshore side of things. We’re also seeing some fun action out of the reefs and around the bait catching some Cobia, King mackerel, Sharks and Jack Crevalle. Great 8 hr trip today with the Missouri boys! Had some pretty weather and was able to stretch our legs a bit into the big pond! The ocean was alive and we saw quite the variety pack between some king and spanish mackerel, gag groupers, sea bass, flounder, cobia and even a few dolphin. Slick ride in to top off a killer day 🤙🏼🤙🏼

Hot bite and hot weather here the last couple days for us guys at Carolina Hook and Fly! Caleb, Collin and Jimmy are reporting lots of quality flounder moving around and seeing the red fish bite pretty good on the lower tides! Introducing our newest captain to the fleet. If you’ve fished with Jimmy or Caleb in the past, this is definitely a familiar face. Captain Collin says it’s time to get on the boat!! He will be operating our new 2026 17’ HPX which is ready to rock and roll. He’ll be focusing on 1-2 person light tackle spin fishing and fly fishing trips in Murrells Inlet and surrounding areas. The May bite doesn’t disappoint! Should only continue to get better as we get closer to the full moon at the end of the month. Seeing a good class of flounder on both live bait and artificial! Our nearshore reef bite is starting to heat up as well with lots of Spanish mackerel and flounder. The cobia and king mackerels should be making there showing any day now and we’ll be ready!!!
