Designed by Dan Maples and opened in 1986, Heritage is a par-71 layout built across more than 600 acres along the Waccamaw River.

Add in the oak-lined entrance and traditional clubhouse overlooking the surrounding wetlands, and a round at Heritage feels like a true Pawleys Island golf experience from the moment you arrive.

⛳ Spotlight Monday: Heathland Course at Legends Golf & Resort

This week, we’re taking a trip across the pond without leaving Myrtle Beach! 🇬🇧

Located at Legends Golf Resort, the Heathland Course brings the traditions of British Isles links golf to the Grand Strand. Designed by Tom Doak, this par-71 layout opened in 1990.

Heathland has earned recognition over the years, including being named one of GOLF Magazine’s Top 10 New Resort Courses in the World in 1990. More recently, it was also recognized by Golfweek among South Carolina’s top public-access courses in 2025.
