VITAL Climbing Gym - Murrieta

Interesting fact! VITAL coach .herreraa got hired onto a Wildland Firefighting Crew for the season we were closed! On returning to VITAL, he says, "Being back in the gym with everybody is just a reminder on why this sport is so special to me. This community that VITAL has developed is irreplaceable to me and I just feel grateful to have that back." We're grateful to have you back, Ethan!

New VITAL member Eddie got super psyched on climbing during the past closure and signed up for a membership on reopening day: "The last four weeks, I've been pretty consistent in going to Culp Valley and Joshua Tree, and then I heard VITAL was opening, and I thought 'OK, I can hold off another week and a half to get into the gym.' I was just pumped and so happy to hear VITAL was opening!" We're thrilled you found us, Eddie, and happy for you getting into the wonderful sport of climbing!

VITAL member Angel made the most of the past few months when the gyms were closed: "I went outdoors a lot more! I bought my first crashpad, a grigri... I went to a lot of beautiful spots like Dixon Lake for my first time, I went to a couple places in Joshua Tree that I've never been to before, and also Santee Boulders." Super rad! 👊🏽

A couple days away! All California locations reopen April 1 for members 11am-9pm and we can’t wait! To restarting your membership, just come in during business hours and bring your old membership ID card. 😬

On April 15th, day passes will be available and 24/7 access for members returns. Side note, make sure to buy some tape for those inevitable flappers... See you this Thursday!

All California locations are temporarily closed! This is due to San Diego & Riverside Co. both being in the ‘purple tier’. Thank you to our wonderful community for helping keep our gyms safe while we were open. We will miss you and look forward to being able to have you back!

VITAL will be TEMPORARILY CLOSED starting Saturday 10/24. This difficult decision is one that resulted after much discussion and careful consideration with our entire staff following the Riverside County guidelines. We will continue reevaluating the status of the Murrieta location each day and will update you on when it will reopen again.

Currently, all other locations will continue to remain open. Members, you may use your membership at all locations. We will update you in the next couple days with our decision regarding Murrieta memberships. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we sort this out! 🙏🏽

VITAL is ready for reopening tomorrow! You climbers will be greeted by a few new climbs and a ‘spray wall’ in the left cave. Yipee!

Before your visit, head to our website to review all regulations. Murrieta will be members only from 11am-9pm with limited access and masks required. You can keep track of the current gym capacity online, but be prepared to wait in line up to 20 minutes or more to get in. We are sooo excited to see our community once more!

What we all have been waiting for! VITAL will be reopening this Friday 9/25 for members only! Similar to Carlsbad and Oceanside locations, Murrieta will ease back into action with limited capacities and new regulations, with business hours of 11am - 9pm for members only. Please visit our website prior to visiting to review the procedures and to monitor the gym capacity. For all CA locations, be prepared to wait in line for up to 20 minutes or more just outside the front doors, especially during the peak hours of 4-8p on weekdays and 11a-6p on weekends. We suggest stretching or bringing a good book. 😉

Also keep in mind that all memberships that are paused will resume on October 1. If you had a membership prior to the closures and do not want to continue it or return to the gym just yet, please submit a cancellation form on our website before 10/1/20 to avoid future charges.
