Our Tiny Champions (3-4 yrs old) are learning so much more than Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Every class is an opportunity to build confidence, develop discipline, work as a team, and practice skills they will carry with them for life. We teach Black Belt Posture as a foundation for self-control, Super Hero Focus to help students stay attentive and engaged, and the importance of respecting their coaches, teammates, and themselves.

Through every game, drill, and technique, our students learn how to listen, overcome challenges, support one another, and never give up. While they are having fun on the mats, they are also developing the character, confidence, and life skills that extend far beyond the academy.

We’re proud of every smile, every high five, and every milestone our Tiny Champions achieve. Watching them grow into confident, respectful, and resilient young leaders is why we do what we do.

Gracie Barra Murrieta will be closed on Friday, July 3rd, and Saturday, July 4th in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

We will resume our regular class schedule on Monday, July 6th.

We hope everyone has a safe, fun, and relaxing holiday weekend spent with family and friends.

To all who have served and continue to serve our country—both in the United States Armed Forces and as first responders—thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to protecting our communities and our nation. Your service is deeply appreciated.

Some brought home medals. Others gained experience. But every competitor walked away stronger.

COMPNET Tournament Recap 🥋🏆

Today, 23 of our students stepped onto the competition mats and represented our team with courage, determination, and heart.

Our team had an incredible performance, bringing home 16 medals total:
🥇 9 Gold Medals (including Professor Mike)
🥈 6 Silver Medals
🥉 1 Bronze Medal

Beyond the individual performances, our team achieved some amazing results:
🏆 1st Place Overall Female Team
🏆 1st Place Overall Adults & Masters Team

But medals and trophies only tell part of the story.

Every single competitor showed true warrior spirit by stepping outside their comfort zone, testing themselves, and giving it their all. Competition isn’t just about winning—it’s about growth, resilience, and the courage to challenge yourself.

We are incredibly proud of all 23 competitors who stepped onto the mats today. Win or lose, each of you represented our academy with honor, humility, and heart.

Thank you to our coaches, teammates, and families for your unwavering support. The work continues—back to the mats and onward to the next challenge.

Nothing better than seeing families on the mats together—learning, laughing, and sharing moments they won’t forget. The room was full of smiles, great vibes, and a whole lot of fun.

Not a goodbye… just a “see you later.”

Last night we got to share one final training session with Duane and Gabi before their next chapter begins. Duane is finishing his time with the Marine Corps and heading out of state and it’s hard to see them go.

Duane, thank you for your service and for the energy you brought to the mats every single day. Your goofy, fun personality kept the room light, made people laugh, and reminded all of us to enjoy the grind. Gabi, thank you for the support, positivity, and all the great moments you’ve shared with this team.

You are both a huge part of our GB Murrieta family. The mats will not feel quite the same without you—but just know, you will always have a home here.

We will miss you. We are proud of you. And we will see you again soon. ❤️🥋
