Tracking your heart rate during a training session can be extremely valuable.

This is not so important if you are training strength or concerned with volume as opposed to conditioning.

Here are some benefits for use during conditioning:
1️⃣ clarity of how tired you feel vs how hard your body is actually working
2️⃣ train in a specific zone or threshold to achieve a specific energy system adaptation
3️⃣ more accurately track calories so you can fuel appropriately for your goals

I do recommend a chest strap as opposed to a wrist watch. There are some expensive options out there to track HRV, recovery, sleep, etc. If you are starting from zero and on a budget simplify by just focusing on heart rate and use your resting heart rate as a method of tracking your recovery.

we service on average 75 veterans at 300 sessions each month 🇺🇸💪🏼‼️

Our age range is from 20s to 90s. Vietnam to today’s war on terrorism. No surgeries to multiple surgeries. Rehab-focused to SWAT, fire, and triathlon. Some that have been in pain for decades, some that need help after physical therapy, and some just need to move their bodies properly again.

Our goal is to improve their health in some capacity because we appreciate everything they did serving our country. This would not be possible without , the nonprofit that supports many facilities like ours across the country. Please check out and donate to one of the most effective veteran-focused programs out there.
