SUPPLE & SASSY SATURDAY WAS CALLING IS OUT FOR A MORNING RUN.
4.26M logged in the book of run.
How many miles did you log this morning? Any annual holiday races or group runs completed today? Tell us where, distance, brag about PRs or PBs. Put some medals on it!
The humidity is crazy. We out here sweating like we ran 10M at race pace. The overcast is lovely. Delicate touches from intermittent air flow. The sky gently and sneakily cried for 2 minutes. Mostly evaporated before sprinkling the ground.
But this damn humidity…
Be safe. Have fun. Don’t forget your runs.

TOUGH IT OUT TUESDAY has your coach doing just that.
Taking on a Garmin connect badge challenge to keep on my game. A 15K was the goal. A 9.5M run is what happened. Completed it with one working eye. 👁️
Woke up yesterday looking like a science experiment. If you say yesterday’s story or this mornings pre-run post, you know what I’m talking about.
Normal people: let’s get this checked out.
Runners: woke up blind. Let me run it off.
Watch this video for today’s accountability check in and how the run went.
I will say, I needed this run.
Y’all be safe out on the asphalt and trails. Make sure you’re following a running program that’s right for you. Not somebody else.

Running fam.
It’s TOUGH IT OUT TUESDAY!
This morning coach toughed out 5.56M of fun, spontaneous speed work while using another runner as a target.
Taken gander at this vibrant memorex moment of recaps, summer running tips with a cool way to run with ice packs (pun intended).
Catch you on the next run.

From dependency to independence—Dean’s journey is the ultimate reminder that it’s never too late to reclaim your mobility. 🌟
After a work-related accident, Dean spent years relying on a walker and the help of friends and family just to manage basic daily tasks. Chronic pain and limited movement kept her from the life she envisioned: traveling, attending jazz concerts, and having carefree playdates at the park with her grandchild.
Her big goal? To cruise the world without her walker, tackle those ship stairs, and enjoy excursions independently. 🚢✈️
We worked hard on her nutrition and movement patterns. I’ll be honest—we definitely had our fair share of "tug-of-war" moments, especially when it came to hydration and macro balancing! But Dean’s persistence won out, and the results speak for themselves.
Hear the full story of her transformation right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pj1rn-j_i04&t=19s
She is proof that seniors deserve a fit, vibrant existence. Movement and nutrition don’t just keep us physically strong; they keep our minds sharp, improve situational awareness, and build the bone density needed to prevent slips and falls.
Dean, I am so incredibly proud of you!

What up!
How y’all doing on this SUPPLE & SASSY SATURDAY morning?
Watch, listen, tell me what you think in the comments.
Hot topic of discussion: Get out ya feelins’
If you’re a distance runner, this is for you.
As distance runners, we’ve seen the keyboard warriors go at it in the comments. We’ve heard the disgust in peoples voices, because they take it personal. Even if it wasn’t directed at them. Even if them and the person who said it or typed it, doesn’t know one another.
Which to me, days more about the person in their feelings than the person who ignored the socials with the statement.
Runners, watch this!
This topic wasn’t planned. I jumped in here for accountability check in. Out of nowhere, my spirit took over and my brain followed.
Check in: 3.33M logged in the book of run. My legs feel like lead from yesterday’s run. Like I always say, builds character.

A work related accident kept Dean from moving independently for years. She had to rely on a walker, friends and family taking her grocery shopping and helping cooking. She couldn't stand for long periods which kept her mostly immobile. Excruciating pain.
She wanted to be able to travel again, go for walks and have playdates with her grandchild at the park. She had her heart set on a cruise and catching flights to jazz concerts. Getting her stability and balance

What a vanglorious TOUGH IT OUT TUESDAY!
Nothing makes a day brighter than a morning run.
It’s that time of year when we remind ourselves of summer running safety. Today’s topic, hydration and running wardrobe reminders.
1. Amount of water you should be drinking. Especially if you’re a heavy sweater.
2. The right type of materials your running clothes should be made of. Why and what it does.
Be safe. Be smart. Train with intention Be consistent.

Look y’all!
She found me. You didn’t hear this from me… we didn’t know we were neighbors and in BGR. 🤣
We literally live 2 minutes walking distance from one another.

Hey there running fam. It’s a hot ass SUPPLE & SASSY SATURDAY! Whew! 😰
Coach had a running buddy this morning. Found out a neighbor and I are part of the same running group. To top it off, we didn’t know we were neighbors. 🤣
She went in our FB group looking for somebody to run with in this area. I’m like, I’ll run with you! We found out we were in the same community. I said shut up!
She told me her street. I was like, I can’t talk to you. 🤣 we are neighbors. I plugged her street in Google. Dag Nab her time…. Right on the corner I’ve run past her house a bazillion times since I lived here.
Hopefully, she’ll run with me again. I broke her. She broken now. 🙄
I just be scaring away new running friends.
Watch the video for how I just be breaking people and have to coach them back to life.
When the run was done, I logged 8.22M on this extremely hot walk/run.

Hello and hey.
This WHIRLWIND WEDNESDAY fell on Global Running Day!
The first Wednesday in June is the day we celebrate all that running gives us, helps us and brings us closer to. The victories of past and current runners. Those new and seasoned.
The world of running has changed lives and saved lives. Healed bodies and minds.
Today I ran to keep the history of running alive. To celebrate those who paved the way and those whom lost their lives while doing what they loved; RUN.
I use my recovery run of 3.73M as a salute to those before me, running with me and those who’ll kick asphalt and trail after me.
Running is my therapy! Running stops progression of disease and illness. Running is a cure.
In today’s video we talk about the difference between rest and active recovery. The what and the why. How soon. Examples of each.
If you want to know more after watching, click the link in the bio.
Go get those miles in!
