Look at these two champs with their medals from the tournament posing with Sensei Will! They wanted to show off their achievement with the person that helped them get there. Competing is very difficult, and we applaud those willing to take a chance. Sensei Will put in blood, sweat, and tears to get everybody ready for the tournament. Competing is very scary, life is scary, doing new things is scary. But you know what else is truly scary? Not knowing what you’re truly capable of. Seize your moment!

Big Congratulations to the students of Ysabell Barnett Elementary and Tovashal Elementary for completing the Character Counts program!! Every student showed determination and dedication! Most important lesson there is to learn: Treat others how you want to be treated!

Brinley will be leaving us for college!! Yesterday was Brinley’s last day here teaching at Curtis Karate. She is an exceptional person with so much kindness, grit, and determination who loves teaching, and loves martial arts. She will be missed dearly. The dojo will not be the same. We wish you all the best in all of your endeavors and know you always have a home here at Curtis Karate. 😢

This past Friday was our Lisa J Mails karate program graduation!! Sensei Jesse had a blast as always teaching the students the importance of the Golden Rule, Ultimate Focus, and of course, listening to their parents and teachers! Great job to all the students!!! 🍎📚

CONGRATULATIONS to all our competitors that fought at our inner dojo tournament yesterday. We host these tournaments to give our students an opportunity to show off what they have learned in their martial arts journey. A special thank you to all the parents for supporting the kids in all their endeavors! Do you think we should have more tournaments or just once a year? Let us know what you think!
