💡 TRAINER TIP TUESDAY: DON’T FORGET YOUR LOW BACK! 💪🏼
Today we’re going back to basics with SUPERMANS! 🦸🏼♂️🔥
They may look simple, but simple doesn’t mean unimportant. Supermans can be a useful exercise for strengthening the muscles along the backside of your body—especially the lower back, glutes, and surrounding stabilizers.
And your low back deserves some attention!
We spend plenty of time training the muscles we can see, but building a strong, resilient trunk is important for lifting, posture, everyday movement, and overall strength.
🔥 SUPERMAN FORM TIPS:
Start lying face down with your arms extended. Brace your core and gently engage your glutes. Lift your arms and legs only as high as you can without aggressively arching your lower back. Keep your neck neutral, move with control, pause briefly at the top, and lower slowly.
Quality over height! You don’t need a huge range of motion to make this movement effective.
Whether you’re a beginner learning the foundations or an experienced lifter adding some low-back prehab into your routine, DON’T SKIP THE BASICS.
The little things you consistently do to strengthen and prepare your body can help you keep doing the BIG things. ❤️💪🏼
Build the foundation. Strengthen your weak links. Keep getting 1% better. 🔥
