The Mona Shores Sailing Team is one of four teams who are a part of a co-op for high school sailing. We are not funded through the school district.
This co-op includes Grand Haven High School Sailing Team, Spring Lake High School Sailing Team, and Hamilton High School Sailing Team. Our teams are built on a solid foundation of highly experienced coaches. Students learn leadership skills, sportsmanship and camaraderie. The sailing teams belong to the Midwest Interscholastic Sailing Association (MISSA), the governing body for high school sailing

For anyone interested in the sailing team, Spring Lake Yacht Club has a few 420 camps this summer. *NEW - sailors who meet the requirements are now eligible to earn a varsity letter!
These are the 420 camps at Spring Lake Yacht Club for those sailors interested in being on the sailing teams. Sailors are eligible to earn varsity letters now!

Another great day on Boardman Lake. Bittersweet moment as it marks the last High School Regatta with all three of our amazing Mona Shores Sailors together. Lila, will be off to the University of Michigan soon—GO BLUE! Thank you for your leadership, your drive, and for always encouraging your team to be their best. We’re so proud of you and excited to see all the great things you’ll accomplish in this next chapter!

Spring sailing kicked off with a trip to Lake Lansing. Our crew took home 1st in B fleet (Strong work, ladies!) and 3rd Overall.

Coach Olivia is on fire!! Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to make the regatta this weekend because she was too busy breaking more records and taking names! (27 sailors with 6 being women & all women in the top 20 places)
Congrats, Olivia!! Thank you for showing our sailors practice makes progress and hard work pays off.

Huge congratulations to Coach Olivia for securing 1st place overall in the MC Fleet at the 95th WMYA Regatta! 🏆 Fun fact: Coach O is the first female in WMYA history to achieve this incredible accomplishment!
