STUDENT ATHLETES OF THE YEAR ANNOUNCED
MIA CLEMENCE
Mia is a four-year, three sport athlete who has been instrumental in the rise and continued success of the female athletic programs at Fremont High School. She has played a key role in securing three conference titles and six district championships.
Often, when people think of “great athletes” they focus on those who dominate a single sport, earning first team All-State honors. However, true greatness lies in the dedication and resilience of the multi-sport athlete - those who compete year-round, contribute to multiple programs and still perform at a high level. Mia embodies this ideal.
Mia is a standout in volleyball, basketball and soccer earning All-District, All-Region and All-State honors in all three sports.
Mia is not only an exceptional athlete but also a true role model for her peers. In the classroom she has a 3.8GPA and is an Academic All-State in all three sports. She will be attending Northern Michigan University to pursue a degree in early education.
CAM THOMPSON
Cam is an outstanding four year, three sport athlete competing is football, basketball and track.
In football, Cam led his team to 4 conference championships, all-state accolades and 2025 MLive Player of the Year.
As a four-year starter in basketball Cam broke school records in points and rebounds, while leading his team to 4 conference championships and being named All-State all four years.
In track, Cam participated in high jump, hurdles and discus and is a 4-time City Champion, Conference Champion and 1st. Team All-State in High Jump.
Cam maintained a 3.5 grade point average and has committed to Western Michigan University to play both football and basketball.
